'Pay' in the Bible
Lamech said to his wives:Adah and Zillah, hear my voice;wives of Lamech, pay attention to my words.For I killed a man for wounding me,a young man for striking me.
"Pay attention! I'm establishing my covenant with you and with your descendants after you,
But God came to Abimelech in a dream during the night and spoke to him, "Pay attention! You're about to die, because the woman you have taken is a man's wife!"
but God told Abraham, "Don't be troubled about the youth and your slave girl. Pay attention to Sarah in everything she tells you, because your offspring are to be named through Isaac.
and said to Ephron in the presence of the people of the land, “Please listen to me. Let me pay the price of the field. Accept it from me, and let me bury my dead there.”
Rebekah gave these instructions to her son Jacob: "Quick! Pay attention!" she said. "I heard your father talking to your brother Esau. He told him,
So now, my son, listen to what I have to say and pay attention to what I'm about to tell you.

Impose heavier work on the men. Then they will be occupied with it and not pay attention to deceptive words.”
And Pharaoh turned and went into his house. He did not pay any attention to this.
But whoever did not pay attention to the message from the LORD left his servants and his livestock outside in the fields.

then there will be an oath to the Lord between the two of them, that he has not laid his hand on his neighbor's goods, and its owner will accept this, and he will not have to pay.
If it is torn in pieces, then he will bring it for evidence, and he will not have to pay for what was torn.
"If a man borrows an animal from his neighbor, and it is hurt or dies when its owner was not with it, the man who borrowed it will surely pay.
If its owner was with it, he will not have to pay; if it was hired, what was paid for the hire covers it.
“If a man seduces a virgin who is not engaged, and he has sexual relations with her, he must certainly pay the bridal price for her to be his wife.
If her father utterly refuse to give her unto him, he shall pay money according to the dowry of virgins.
“Pay strict attention to everything I have said to you. You must not invoke the names of other gods; they must not be heard on your lips.
Pay attention to him, and listen to his voice. Don't provoke him, for he will not pardon your disobedience, for my name is in him.

If many years are still left, he must pay his redemption price in proportion to them based on his purchase price.
If only a few years remain until the Year of Jubilee, he will calculate and pay the price of his redemption in proportion to his remaining years.
and I acted with hostility toward them and brought them into the land of their enemies—and if their uncircumcised hearts will be humbled, and if they will pay the penalty for their sin,
For the land abandoned by them will make up for its Sabbaths by lying desolate without the people, while they pay the penalty for their sin, because they rejected My ordinances and abhorred My statutes.

But He directly pays back and destroys those who hate Him. He will not hesitate to directly pay back the one who hates Him.
