For I through law died to law, that I might live to God.

If ye died with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as if living in the world, do ye subject yourselves to decrees,

It could not be! How shall we, who died to sin, live any longer therein?

It could not be! How shall we, who died to sin, live any longer therein?

If ye died with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as if living in the world, do ye subject yourselves to decrees,

And, if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the spirit is life because of righteousness. And, if the Spirit of Him Who raised up Jesus from the dead dwelleth in you, He Who raised up Christ Jesus from the dead will make alive your mortal bodies through His Spirit dwelling in you.

It could not be! How shall we, who died to sin, live any longer therein? Or are ye ignorant, that all we who were immersed into Christ Jesus were immersed into His death? We were buried, therefore, with Him through the immersion into death; that as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we also might walk in newness of life. read more.
For, if we have become united with Him in the likeness of His death, we shall be also in the likeness of His resurrection; knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be brought to nought, that we should no more be in bondage to sin; for he that died has been justified from sin. But, if we died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him; knowing that Christ, having been raised from the dead, dieth no more; death no more has dominion over Him. For the death that He died, He died to Sin once for all; but the life that He liveth He liveth to God. Even so reckon ye also yourselves dead, indeed, to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus.

Or, are ye ignorant, brethren, (for I am speaking to those who know law), that the law has dominion over the man as long as he lives? For the married woman has been bound by law to the living husband; but, if the husband dies, she is loosed from the law of the husband. So, then, if, while the husband is living, she is married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress; but, if the husband dies, she is free from the law, so that she is no adulteress, though she be joined to another man. read more.
Wherefore, my brethren, ye also were made dead to the law through the body of Christ, that ye might be joined to another??o Him Who was raised from the dead??hat we might bear fruit to God. For, when we were in the flesh, the passions of sins, which were through the law, were working in our members to bring forth fruit to death. But now we have been fully discharged from the law, having died to that in which we were held; so that we serve in newness of spirit, and not in oldness of the letter. What, then, shall we say? Is the law sin? It could not be! But I had not known sin, except through law; for I would not know even coveting, if the law did not say, "You shall not covet;" but sin, taking occasion through the commandment, wrought in me all manner of coveting; for apart from law sin is dead. And I was alive apart from the law once; but, when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died. And the commandment which was unto life was itself found by me to be unto death;

What, then, shall we say? Shall we persist in sin, that grace may abound? It could not be! How shall we, who died to sin, live any longer therein? Or are ye ignorant, that all we who were immersed into Christ Jesus were immersed into His death? read more.

For sin shall not have dominion over you; for ye are not under law, but under grace.

Now, concerning the virgins, I have no commandment of the Lord; but I give my judgment, as having received mercy from the Lord to be faithful.

and ye are not willing to come to Me, that ye may have life.

"Verily, verily, I say to you, He that hears My word, and believes Him Who sent Me, has eternal life, and comes not into judgment, but has passed out of death into life. Verily, verily, I say to you, the hour is coming, and now is, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those having heard shall live. For, as the Father hath life in Himself, so also He gave to the Son to have life in Himself;

Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life; he that believes on Me, though he die, yet shall he live; and whosoever lives and believes on Me shall never die. Do you believe this?"

That which was from the beginning, that which we have heard, that which we have seen with our eyes, that which we gazed upon, and our hands handled, concerning the Word of Life (and the Life was manifested, and we have seen, and bear witness, and declare to you The Eternal Life; Who, indeed, was with the Father, and was manifested to us);

Jesus answered, and said to him, "Verily, verily, I say to you, unless one be born anew, he cannot see the Kingdom of God." Nicodemus says to Him, "How can a man he born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother's womb, and he born?" Jesus answered, "Verily, verily, I say to you, unless one be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the Kingdom of God. read more.
That which has been born of the flesh is flesh: and that which has been born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said to you, ye must be born anew. The Spirit breatheth where He willeth; and you hear His voice, but know not whence He cometh, or whither He goeth: so is every one who has been born of the Spirit." Nicodemus answered, and said to Him, "How can these things be?" Jesus answered, and said to him, "Are you a teacher of Israel, and understand not these things? Verily, verily, I say to you, We speak that which We know, and testify to that which We have seen; and ye receive not Our testimony. If I told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how will ye believe, if I tell you Heavenly things? And no one has ascended into Heaven, but He Who descended out of Heaven??he Son of Man [Who is in Heaven]. And, as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up; that every one who believes in Him may have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that every one who believes on Him should not perish, but have eternal life;

even as Thou gavest Him authority over all flesh, that to all Whom Thou hast given Him He should give eternal life. And this is the eternal life, that they know Thee, the only true God, and Jesus Christ Whom Thou didst send.

We were buried, therefore, with Him through the immersion into death; that as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we also might walk in newness of life. For, if we have become united with Him in the likeness of His death, we shall be also in the likeness of His resurrection;

But now, having been made free from sin, and having been made slaves to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end eternal life; for the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus, our Lord.
