But Jesus answered them, "You are wrong, because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God.
Jesus said to them, "Is not this why you are wrong, that you do not know the Scriptures nor the power of God?
let him know that whoever turns a sinner from the error of his way will save his soul from death and will cover a multitude of sins.
We are of God. Whoever knows God listens to us; he who is not of God does not listen to us. By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error.
You therefore, beloved, knowing this beforehand, be on your guard so that you are not carried away by the error of lawless men and fall from your own steadfastness.
Remind them of these things, and charge them in the presence of God to avoid disputing about words, which does no good, but only ruins the hearers.
For this reason God sends upon them a strong delusion so that they will believe what is false,
As a result, we are no longer to be children, tossed here and there by waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by the cunning of men, by their craftiness in deceitful scheming.
And the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in their own persons the due penalty for their error.
All scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness;
"If your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault, between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained your brother.
For speaking out arrogant words of vanity, they entice by fleshly desires, by sensuality, those who barely escape from the ones who live in error.
Forsaking the right way, they have gone astray, having followed the way of Balaam, the son of Beor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness;
with gentleness correcting those who are in opposition, if perhaps God will grant them repentance leading to the knowledge of the truth,
