He who has seen me has discerned (experienced) (perceived) the Father. And you say, show us the Father? Do you not believe that I am with the Father and that the Father is with me? The words I say to you are not from me, but the Father dwells with me and does his works. read more.
Believe me that I am with the Father and the Father is with me, or else believe me because of the works. Truly I tell you, he who exerts active faith in me will do the works that I do. In fact he will do greater works than these. I go to the Father. Whatever you ask in my name, I will do. That way the Father may be glorified because of the Son.


Philip found Nathanael, and said to him: We have found the person Moses and the prophets wrote about in the Law and God's word. It is Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph. And Nathanael said to him: Could any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip said: Come and see. Jesus saw Nathanael coming to him. He said: Look an Israelite indeed. Nathanael asked: How do you know me? Jesus answered: I saw you under the fig tree before Philip called you. Nathanael answered: Rabbi you are the Son of God. You are King of Israel. Jesus responded: I told you I saw you under the fig tree. Is this why you believe? You will see greater things than these.


After they came out of the water God's Spirit took Philip away. The eunuch did not see him again. He continued his journey rejoicing. Philip was seen passing through Azotus. He preached in all the cities, until he came to Caesarea.


He went and an Ethiopian eunuch (government official), a man of great authority under Candace queen of the Ethiopians, who had the charge of all her treasure, and had come to Jerusalem to worship. He was returning and sitting in his chariot reading Isaiah the prophet. The Spirit said to Philip: Go near, and climb on this chariot. read more.
Philip ran to him, heard him read the prophet Isaiah, and said: Do you understand what you are reading? How can I, the eunuch said: unless someone explains it to me? He invited Philip to come and sit with him. The Scripture he read was this: He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; and like a lamb dumb before his shearer so he did not open his mouth. In his humiliation his judgment was taken away. Who will declare his generation? For his life is taken from the earth. The eunuch asked Philip: Please tell me of whom is the prophet talking about, himself or someone else? Then Philip began at the same Scripture and told him the good news about Jesus. On their way, they came to a body of water and the eunuch said, See, here is water. What prevents me from getting baptized? Philip said: If you believe with all your heart, you may. He answered: I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He commanded the chariot to stop. They both went into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him.


Now this man had four virgin daughters, who prophesied. As we stayed there several days, a prophet came from Judea, named Agabus.

Unclean spirits, crying with loud voices, came out of many who were possessed by them. Many who were taken with palsies and the lame were healed. There was great joy in that city. A certain man called Simon was in the same city. He used sorcery, and bewitched the people of Samaria, telling everyone that he was great. They all listened to him, from the least to the greatest, saying: This man has great power from God. They followed him because for a long time he astonished them with sorceries. The eunuch asked Philip: Please tell me of whom is the prophet talking about, himself or someone else?

God's angel said to Philip: Arise, and go toward the south the way that goes from Jerusalem unto Gaza through the desert.
