'Give Thanks' in the Bible
If he offer to give thanks, he shall bring unto his thank offering: sweet cakes mingled with oil and sweet wafers anointed with oil, and cakes mingled with oil of fine flour fried,
You shall go to the priest who is in office at that time and say to him, ‘I declare this day to the Lord my God that I have entered the land which the Lord swore to our fathers to give us.’
Therefore I will give thanks unto thee, O LORD, among the heathen, and I will sing praises unto thy name.
David appointed some of the Levites to be ministers before the ark of the Lord, to celebrate the Lord God of Israel, and to give thanks and praise to Him.
