But the angel said unto him, Fear not, Zachariah: for your prayer is heard; and your wife Elizabeth shall bear you a son, and you shall call his name John.

And, behold, you shall conceive in your womb, and bring forth a son, and shall call his name JESUS.

For he has regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: for, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed.

I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

And why call me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?

And they came to him, and awoke him, saying, Teacher, Teacher, we perish. Then he arose, and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water: and they ceased, and there was a calm.

Then said he also to him that bade him, When you give a dinner or a supper, call not your friends, nor your brethren, neither your kinsmen, nor your rich neighbors; lest they also bid you again, and a recompense be made you.

But when you give a feast, call the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind:

And bring here the fatted calf, and kill it; and let us eat, and be merry:

And he said unto him, your brother has come; and your father has killed the fatted calf, because he has received him safe and sound.

But as soon as this your son came, who has devoured your living with harlots, you have killed for him the fatted calf.

And Jesus said unto him, Why call me good? none is good, except one, that is, God.
