John answered them, saying, I baptize with water: but there stands one among you, whom you know not;

And I knew him not: but that he should be made manifest to Israel, therefore am I come baptizing with water.

And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom you shall see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he who baptizes with the Holy Spirit.

And there were set there six water pots of stone, after the manner of the purifying of the Jews, containing twenty or thirty gallons each.

Jesus said unto them, Fill the water pots with water. And they filled them up to the brim.

When the steward of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and knew not from where it was: (but the servants who drew the water knew;) the steward of the feast called the bridegroom,

Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

And John also was baptizing in Aenon near to Salim, because there was much water there: and they came, and were baptized.

There came a woman of Samaria to draw water: Jesus said unto her, Give me to drink.

Jesus answered and said unto her, If you knew the gift of God, and who it is that said to you, Give me to drink; you would have asked of him, and he would have given you living water.

The woman said unto him, Sir, you have nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from where then have you that living water?

Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinks of this water shall thirst again:

But whosoever drinks of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.

The woman said unto him, Sir, give me this water, that I thirst not, neither come here to draw.

The woman then left her water pot, and went her way into the city, and said to the men,

So Jesus came again into Cana of Galilee, where he made the water wine. And there was a certain official, whose son was sick at Capernaum.

In these lay a great multitude of invalid folk, of blind, lame, paralyzed, waiting for the moving of the water.

For an angel went down at a certain time into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had.

The invalid man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steps down before me.

He that believes on me, as the scripture has said, out of his heart shall flow rivers of living water.

Then took Mary a pound of ointment of spikenard, very costly, and anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair: and the house was filled with the odor of the ointment.

After that he poured water into a basin, and began to wash the disciples' feet, and to wipe them with the towel with which he was girded.

But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and immediately came there out blood and water.
