And one scribe, coming near, said to him, Teacher, I will follow thee wherever thou goest.

And, behold, they brought him a paralytic, laid upon a bed; and Jesus seeing their faith, said to the paralytic, Take courage, child thy sins are let go to thee.
For why is it easier to say, Sins are let go to thee; or say, Arise and walk?
And Jesus having turned round, and seeing her, said, Take courage, daughter; thy faith has saved thee. And the woman was saved from that hour.
For this is he for whom it was Written, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, who shall prepare thy way before thee.

And if thy brother sin against thee, retire, and refute him between thee and him alone; if he hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother.
But if he hear thee not, take with thee yet one or two, that at the mouth of two or three witnesses every word might stand.
And if he refuse hearing them, speak to the church: and if he refuse hearing the church, let him be to thee as of the nations and a publican.
And Jesus says to him, I say not to thee, till seven times; but till seventy times seven.
Then the servant, having fallen, worshipped him, saying, Lord, be slow to anger towards me, and I will give back all to thee.
Then his fellow-servant having fallen at his feet besought him, saying, Be slow to anger towards me, and I will give back all to thee.
Oughtest thou not also to pity thy fellow-servant, as I also pitied thee

And Jesus having looked upon him, loved him, and said to him, One thing is wanting to thee retire; whatever thou hast, sell, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me, having taken up the cross.

It seemed fitting to me also, having comprehended all things thoroughly from above, to write to thee in order, most excellent Theophilus,
And the messenger said to him, Fear not, Zacharias: for thy supplication has been heard; and thy wife Elizabeth shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name John.
And joy shall be to thee, and gladness: and many shall rejoice at his birth.

And the Holy Spirit descended in a bodily form as a dove upon him, and there was a voice from heaven, saying, Thou art my dearly loved Son; in thee I was contented.
And the devil said to him, I will give thee all this power, and their glory; for to me has it been delivered; and to whom I will I give it.
