Yea, they spoke against God; they said, Can God furnish a table in the wilderness?

Because they believed not in God, and trusted not in his salvation:

The wrath of God came upon them, and slew the strongest of them, and struck down the chosen men of Israel.

Why should the nations say, Where is their God? let him be known among the nations in our sight by the revenging of the blood of your servants which is shed.

Restore us, O God, and cause your face to shine; and we shall be saved.
