And this Writing did ye not read: A stone that the builders rejected, it did become the head of a corner:

And there came to him Sadducees, who say there is no coming back from the dead; and they put a question to him, saying,
"Teacher, Moses wrote to us [Deut. 25:5] that if a man's brother dies, leaving his widow behind without having had any children, his brother should marry his widow and father children by her. These children would then be considered his [dead] brother's.
There were seven brethren; and the first took a wife, and dying did not leave seed;
and the second took her and died, and neither did he leave seed; and the third likewise.
And the seven took her and did not leave seed. Last of all the woman also died.
In the future life, when they come back from the dead, whose wife will she be? for the seven had her for a wife.
For when they shall rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage; but are as the angels which are in heaven.
And as touching the dead, that they rise: have ye not read in the book of Moses, how in the bush God spake unto him, saying, I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob?
He is not the God of the dead, but the God of the living: ye therefore do greatly err.

And as they sat and did eat, Jesus said, Verily I say unto you, One of you which eateth with me shall betray me.
And as they did eat, Jesus took bread, and blessed, and brake it, and gave to them, and said, Take, eat: this is my body.
But after I have come back from the dead, I will go before you into Galilee.
And Jesus said to him, "Truly I say to you that today--this night--before the rooster crows twice, you will deny me three times!"
And again He came back and found them sleeping, because their eyes were very heavy; and they did not know how to answer Him.
And he cometh the third time, and saith to them, 'Sleep on henceforth, and rest -- it is over; the hour did come; lo, the Son of Man is delivered up to the hands of the sinful;
And Jesus answering, said to them, "Did ye come out as against a robber, with swords and clubs, to seize Me?
I was daily with you teaching in the temple, and ye did not seize me; but it is that the scriptures may be fulfilled.
One youth indeed did follow Him, wearing only a linen cloth round his bare body. Of him they laid hold,
and he, having left the linen cloth, did flee from them naked.
and Peter afar off did follow him, to the inside of the hall of the chief priest, and he was sitting with the officers, and warming himself near the fire.
And the chief priests and the whole sanhedrim sought testimony against Jesus to cause him to be put to death, and did not find any.
For many bore false witness against him, and their testimony did not agree.
But neither so did their witness agree together.
and he was keeping silent, and did not answer anything. Again the chief priest was questioning him, and saith to him, 'Art thou the Christ -- the Son of the Blessed?'
Did you hear his blasphemy? What is your decision?" And they all condemned him as deserving to be put to death.
And some began to spit on him, and to cover his face, and to buffet him, and to say unto him, Prophesy: and the servants did strike him with the palms of their hands.
And immediately, in the morning, the chief priests having made a consultation, with the elders, and scribes, and the whole sanhedrim, having bound Jesus, did lead away, and delivered him to Pilate;
and Jesus did no more answer anything, so that Pilate wondered.
And there was he called Barabbas, bound with those exciting sedition, who did murder in the revolt.
The crowd came up and began asking Pilate to do as he usually did for them.
and the chief priests did move the multitude, that he might rather release Barabbas to them.
And Pilate said to them, 'Why -- what evil did he?' and they cried out the more vehemently, 'Crucify him;'
And they smote him on the head with a reed, and did spit upon him, and bowing their knees worshipped him.

And they offered him wine to drink medicated with myrrh; but he did not take it.

And a man ran, and, soaking a sponge in common wine, put it on the end of a rod, and offered it to him to drink, saying as he did so: "Wait and let us see if Elijah is coming to take him down."
And the veil of the temple did rent in two pieces, from the top to the bottom.
And when the Centurion who stood in front of the cross saw that He was dead, he exclaimed, "This man was indeed God's Son."
And Pilate marvelled if he were already dead: and calling unto him the centurion, he asked him whether he had been any while dead.

and they, having gone forth, did preach everywhere, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word, through the signs following. Amen.
Seeing that many did take in hand to set in order a narration of the matters that have been fully assured among us,
as they did deliver to us, who from the beginning became eye-witnesses, and officers of the Word, --
They both did what was right in God's sight [by] living blamelessly according to all the commandments and requirements of the Lord.
