For calamity from God is a terror to me. Because his majesty, I can do nothing.

Even though you complain that you can't perceive him, your case is already pending for judgment in his presence so keep on placing your hope in him.

Lo, God is great, and we comprehend him not, neither can the number of his years be searched out.
"Moreover, {can anyone understand} [the] spreading of clouds, [the] thundering of his dwelling place?
His thunder roars after it; his majestic voice will thunder; and no one can trace them once his voice has been heard.
God thunders marvelously with his voice. He does great things, which we can't comprehend.
with him can you spread out [the] skies, hard as a molten mirror?
Teach us what we shall tell him, for we can't make our case by reason of darkness.
Can a man speak when he is confused?
And now men can not look on the bright light which is in the clouds: but the wind passes, and clears them.

Can you lead forth the southern constellations at their appointed time, or can you lead [the] Bear with its children?
Do you know heaven's statutes, or can you establish their rule on the earth?
Can you lift up your voice to the clouds so that a flood of water may cover you?
Can you send forth lightnings, that they may go? And will they say to you, 'Here we are'?
Who can number [the] clouds with wisdom? Or who can tilt heaven's jars,
"Can you hunt prey for [the] lion? And can you satisfy [the] hunger of strong lions
Know you the time when the wild goats of the rock bring forth? or can you mark when the hinds do calve?
Can you number [the] months they fulfill, and do you know [the] time of its giving birth?
Can you tie [the] wild ox [with] its rope to a furrow, or will it harrow [the] valleys after you?
Can you trust it because its strength [is] great, or will you hand your labor over to it?
Can you rely on it that it will return your grain and [that] it will gather [it] to your threshing floor?
“Yet when she lifts herself
[So swift is she that] she laughs at the horse and his rider.
Can you make him afraid like a grasshopper? the majesty of his snorting is terrible.
“With fierceness and rage he races to devour the ground,
And he does not stand still at the sound of the [war] trumpet.
When the trumpet blasts he'll neigh, "Aha! Aha!' From a distance he can sense war, the war cry of generals, and their shouting."
He abideth in the stony rocks, and upon the high tops of hard mountains, where no man can come.
"Can he that striveth with the Almighty be at rest? Should not he which disputeth with God, give him an answer?"
I place my hand over my mouth.

Indeed would you annul my justice and condemn me, just so you can claim that you're righteous?
Or do you have an arm like God, and can you thunder with a voice like his?

Can you fill his skin with harpoons? or his head with fish spears?
None is so fierce that he dare stir him up. Who then is he who can stand before me?
Who can take me to court and be reconciled to me? All of heaven is mine.
Who can remove the face of his garment? or who can approach him with a double bridle?
Who can open the doors of his face? his teeth are terrible all around.
One is so near to another, that no air can come between them.
They are joined one to another. They stick together, so that they can't be pulled apart.
His breath can ignite coal; and flames proceed from his mouth.
The flakes of his flesh are joined together. They are firm on him. They can't be moved.
If one attacks him with the sword, it can't prevail; nor the spear, the dart, nor the pointed shaft.
The arrow can't make him flee. Sling stones are like chaff to him.
“He looks on everything that is high [without terror];
He is monarch over all the sons of pride. [And now, Job,
I know that you can do everything, and that no thought can be withheld from you.
For who can keep his own counsel so secret, but it shall be known? Therefore have I spoken unwisely, seeing these things are so high, and pass mine understanding.
For this reason the wicked cannot withstand judgment, nor can sinners join the assembly of the godly.

Who can live on Your holy mountain?
For with you I can charge a troop, and with my God I can scale a wall.
[He] trains my hands for war, so that my arms can bend a bow of bronze.
