And let the God of peace bruise Satan under your feet quickly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.
And if thy people Israel should fall before their enemies because they have sinned against thee and if they should convert and confess thy name and pray and make supplication before thee in this house,
In thee, O LORD, have I waited; let me never be ashamed; deliver me in thy righteousness. Incline thine ear unto me; deliver me speedily; be thou my strong rock, for a house of defence to save me. For thou art my rock and my fortress; therefore for thy name's sake thou shalt lead me and guide me.read more.

And when David had called him, he ate and drank before him, and he made him drunk; and in the evening he went out to lie on his bed with the slaves of his lord but did not go down to his house. And it came to pass in the morning, that David wrote a letter to Joab and sent it by the hand of Uriah. And he wrote in the letter, saying, Set Uriah in the forefront of the hottest battle and retire from him, that he may be smitten and die. And it came to pass, when Joab observed the city, that he assigned Uriah unto a place where he knew that the most valiant men were. And the men of the city came out and fought with Joab, and some of the people of the slaves of David fell, and Uriah the Hittite died also.
The night is past, and the day is come; let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us clothe ourselves with the weapons of light.
But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and charity, and for a helmet, the hope of saving health.
For this cause I, also, not waiting any longer, have sent to know your faith, lest by some means the tempter has tempted you and our labour is in vain.
Certainly, if having separated themselves from the contaminations of the world, by the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they again entangle themselves therein and are overcome, their latter end is made worse for them than the beginnings.
