If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness:
and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors;

and when he began to reckon, there was brought to him one, who was debtor in ten thousand talents: and not having it to pay, his lord commanded him to be sold, and his wife and children and all that he had; and payment to be made. The servant therefore fell prostrate before him, saying, Lord, bear with me a while, and I will pay thee all: and his lord had compassion on him, and discharged him, and forgave him the debt. But that same servant, as he was going out, met with one of his fellow-servants, who owed him but an hundred pence; and he laid hold on him and seized him by the throat, saying, Pay me what thou owest me: and his fellow-servant fell down at his feet, and intreated him, saying, Bear with me a while, and I will pay thee all. And he would not: but went away and threw him into prison till he should pay the debt. Now when his fellow-servants saw what was done, they were very much grieved, and came and acquainted their lord with all that had passed. Then his lord called for him again, and said to him, Thou wicked slave, I forgave thee all that vast debt at thy request, and oughtest not thou to have had compassion on thy fellow-servant, even as I had on thee? And his lord being highly provoked delivered him to the officers, till he should pay all that was owing to him. Thus will my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye forgive not every one his brother from your hearts their trespasses.
A certain creditor had two debtors, the one owed him five hundred denaries, and the other fifty: and they not being able to pay him, he freely forgave them both: tell me therefore, which of them will love him most? And Simon answered, I suppose he to whom he forgave most. And Jesus said unto him, Thou hast rightly judged:read more.
and turning to the woman, He said to Simon, Dost thou see this woman? I came into thine house, and thou gavest me no water for my feet; but she has bathed my feet with her tears, and wiped them with the hairs of her head. Thou gavest me not the respect of a kiss; but this woman, ever since she came in, hath not ceased to kiss my feet. Thou didst not anoint my head with common oil, but she hath anointed even my feet with sweet ointment. Wherefore, I tell thee, her sins though many are forgiven, for she loved much: but he to whom little is forgiven, loveth but little. And He said unto her, Thy sins are forgiven. And they that sat at table with Him, said within themselves, Who is this that forgiveth sins also? But He said to the woman, Thy faith hath saved thee, go in peace.
having above all things fervent love to each other; for love will cover a multitude of sins.
let him know that he, who turneth back a sinner from the error of his way, shall save a soul from death, and shall cover a multitude of sins.
The next day John seeth Jesus coming towards him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God that taketh away the sin of the world.
so Christ, having been once offered to bear the sins of many, shall appear the second time without sin, to those who are waiting for Him, unto salvation.
And ye know that He was manifested, to take away our sins: and in Him there is no sin.
to declare, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing to them their trespasses, and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
It is a truth highly to be believed, and worthy to be received by all, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners:---of whom I am one of the chief.

And Jesus answered and said unto them, They that are in health have no need of a physician, but they that are sick: I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

Who Himself bare our sins in his own body on the cross, that we being dead to sins, might live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye are healed.

riseth from supper, and turneth aside his clothes, and took a towel and tied it about Him; and then pouring water into a bason, began to wash the feet of his disciples, and to wipe them with the towel wherewith He was girded. He cometh therefore to Simon Peter among the rest, who saith unto Him, Lord, dost thou wash my feet? Jesus answered and said unto him, What I do thou dost not now understand, but thou shalt know hereafter. Peter saith to Him, Thou shalt never wash my feet. Jesus answered him, If I do not wash thee, thou hast no part with me. Simon Peter saith unto Him, Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head. Jesus saith to him, He that hath been bathing, hath need only to wash his feet, being then clean all over: and thus ye are clean, but not all of you. For He knew who would betray Him; therefore He said, Ye are not all clean.
And now why shouldst thou delay? Arise and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling upon the name of the Lord.
let us draw near with sincerity, in the full assurance of faith, having our hearts cleansed from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.
who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify to Himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.
knowing that ye were redeemed from your vain conversation learned by tradition from your fathers, not with corruptible things, as silver and gold; but with the precious blood of Christ as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:
knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
being justified freely by his grace, because of the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: whom God hath appointed to be a propitiation, through faith in his blood, for a demonstration of his righteousness, in the remission of past sins, according to the forbearance of God; for a demonstration, I say, of his righteousness at this time: that He might be just, and the justifier of him, that believeth in Jesus.
but to him that worketh not, but believeth on Him who justifieth the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness.
For the gift is not as the sentence was by one that sinned; for the sentence is passed from one offence to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences to justification. For if, by the offence of one, death reigned through one, much more they who receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness, shall reign in life through one, even Jesus Christ. Therefore as by the offence of one the effect of it was upon all men to condemnation: so also by the righteousness of one, the effect was upon all men to justification of life.read more.
For as by the disobedience of one man many were made sinners; so by the obedience of One shall many be made righteous.
There is therefore now no condemnation to them that are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh but after the spirit.
He that believeth on Him is not condemned: but he that believeth not, is already condemned; because he hath not believed on the name of the only-begotten Son of God.
And the scribes and pharisees brought to Him a woman taken in adultery; and setting her in the midst, they said to Him, "This woman was caught in the very act, committing adultery. Now Moses in the law has commanded us that such women should be stoned, but what sayest Thou?"read more.
This they said to tempt Him, that they might have something to accuse Him of. But Jesus stooping down, wrote with his finger upon the ground. And as they continued asking Him, He raised himself up and said unto them, "Let him that is without sin among you, first cast a stone at her." Then He stooped down again and wrote on the ground. But when they heard his answer, being convicted by their own conscience, they went out one by one, beginning at the elder, even to the last. And Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst of the people. Then Jesus rising up, and seeing none but the woman, said unto her, Where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee? And she said, None, Lord. Then said Jesus unto her, Neither do I condemn thee, Go thy way and sin no more.
