'Anger' in the Bible
Thou hast taken away all thy wrath: thou hast turned thyself from the fierceness of thine anger.
Turn us, O God of our salvation, and cause thine anger toward us to cease.
Wilt thou be angry with us for ever? wilt thou draw out thine anger to all generations?
But You, Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God,slow to anger and rich in faithful love and truth.
Your anger lies heavily upon me; you pound me with all your waves. Interlude
Your burning anger overwhelms me; your terrors destroy me.
How long, Lord? Will You hide Yourself forever?Will Your anger keep burning like fire?
For we are consumed by thine anger, and by thy wrath are we troubled.
Who knoweth the power of thine anger? even according to thy fear, so is thy wrath.
Turn, O Lord [from Your fierce anger]; how long will it be?Be compassionate toward Your servants—revoke Your sentence.
So I swore in My anger,“They will not enter My rest.”
because of your anger and raging fury. Indeed, you pick me up and throw me away.
The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.
He will not always chide: neither will he keep his anger for ever.
He threatened to destroy them, but Moses, his chosen one, interceded with him and turned back his destructive anger.
Thus they provoked him to anger with their inventions: and the plague brake in upon them.
Therefore the Lord’s anger burned against His people,and He abhorred His own inheritance.
The Lord is at Your right hand;He will crush kings on the day of His anger.
My anger overwhelms mebecause my foes forget Your words.
then they would have swallowed us alivein their burning anger against us.

He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city.
The discretion of a man deferreth his anger; and it is his glory to pass over a transgression.
The king's anger is like the roaring of a lion, but his goodwill is like dew on the grass.
A person with great anger bears the penalty;if you rescue him, you’ll have to do it again.
The fear of a king is as the roaring of a lion: whoso provoketh him to anger sinneth against his own soul.
A gift in secret pacifieth anger: and a reward in the bosom strong wrath.
Better to dwell in a wilderness land, Than with a woman of contentions and anger.
He that soweth iniquity shall reap vanity: and the rod of his anger shall fail.
Do not associate with a man given to anger;Or go with a hot-tempered man,
Otherwise the LORD will observe and disapprove, and he will turn his anger away from him.
A stone is heavy, and the sand is heavy, And the anger of a fool Is heavier than they both.

What is more, he eats in darkness all his days, with much sorrow, sickness, and anger.
The end of a matter [is] better than its beginning; {better to be slow to anger than hot-headed}.
Be not hasty in thy spirit to be angry: for anger resteth in the bosom of fools.
If the ruler’s anger rises against you, don’t leave your place,for calmness puts great offenses to rest.
And turn aside anger from thy heart, And cause evil to pass from thy flesh, For the childhood and the age are vanity!
Ah sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, a seed of evildoers, children that are corrupters: they have forsaken the LORD, they have provoked the Holy One of Israel unto anger, they are gone away backward.
Therefore is the anger of the LORD kindled against his people, and he hath stretched forth his hand against them, and hath smitten them: and the hills did tremble, and their carcases were torn in the midst of the streets. Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it.
Therefore I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall remove out of her place, in the wrath of the LORD of hosts, and in the day of his fierce anger.
He who smote the people in wrath with a continual stroke, he that ruled the nations in anger, is persecuted, and none hindereth.

Because of thy anger towards Me, And thy noise -- it came up into Mine ears, I have put My hook in thy nose, And My bridle in thy lips, And I have caused thee to turn back In the way in which thou camest.
The LORD marches out like a warrior; he stirs up his rage like a man of war; he makes his anger heard; he shouts aloud; he declares his mastery over his enemies:
Therefore he hath poured upon him the fury of his anger, and the strength of battle: and it hath set him on fire round about, yet he knew not; and it burned him, yet he laid it not to heart.
For my name's sake will I defer mine anger, and for my praise will I refrain for thee, that I cut thee not off.
Why do you forget the Lord, who made you, who stretched out the sky and founded the earth? Why do you constantly tremble all day long at the anger of the oppressor, when he makes plans to destroy? Where is the anger of the oppressor?
"Awake, Awake! Stand up, Jerusalem, you who have drunk from the LORD's hand from the cup that is his anger. You have drunk to the dregs the cup that makes you stagger, and have drained it.
Your children have fainted. They lie at the head of every street, like antelope caught in a trap, filled with the anger of the LORD and the rebuke of your God.
This is what your Lord, the LORD, says, your God, who defends his people's cause: "See, I have taken from your hand the cup that made you stagger. And you will never again drink to the dregs the cup that is my anger.
In a surge of angerI hid My face from you for a moment,but I will have compassion on youwith everlasting love,”says the Lord your Redeemer.
So he will repay according to their action: Anger to his enemies, retribution to his foes; to the coastlands he will render their due.
"Foreigners will rebuild your walls, and their kings will serve you. Though in my anger I struck you down, in my favor I have shown you mercy.
I have trodden the winepress alone; and of the people there was none with me: for I will tread them in mine anger, and trample them in my fury; and their blood shall be sprinkled upon my garments, and I will stain all my raiment.
I looked, but there was no one to help; I was shocked because there was no one offering support. So my right arm accomplished deliverance; my raging anger drove me on.
And I will tread down the people in mine anger, and make them drunk in my fury, and I will bring down their strength to the earth.
You meet him who rejoices in doing that which is morally right,Who remembers You in Your ways.Indeed, You were angry, for we sinned;We have long continued in our sins [prolonging Your anger].And shall we be saved [under such circumstances]?
A people that provoketh me to anger continually to my face; that sacrificeth in gardens, and burneth incense upon altars of brick;
Who are saying, 'Keep to thyself, come not nigh to me, For I have declared thee unholy.' These are a smoke in Mine anger, A fire burning all the day.
When you see this, you will be happy, and you will be revived. The Lord will reveal his power to his servants and his anger to his enemies.
For, behold, the LORD will come with fire, and with his chariots like a whirlwind, to render his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire.
Yet thou sayest, Because I am innocent, surely his anger shall turn from me. Behold, I will plead with thee, because thou sayest, I have not sinned.
Will he reserve his anger for ever? will he keep it to the end? Behold, thou hast spoken and done evil things as thou couldest.
Go and proclaim these words toward the north, and say, Return, thou backsliding Israel, saith the LORD; and I will not cause mine anger to fall upon you: for I am merciful, saith the LORD, and I will not keep anger for ever.
Just as ritual circumcision cuts away the foreskin as an external symbol of dedicated covenant commitment, you must genuinely dedicate yourselves to the Lord and get rid of everything that hinders your commitment to me, people of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem. If you do not, my anger will blaze up like a flaming fire against you that no one will be able to extinguish. That will happen because of the evil you have done."
For this gird you with sackcloth, lament and howl: for the fierce anger of the LORD is not turned back from us.
I beheld, and, lo, the fruitful place was a wilderness, and all the cities thereof were broken down at the presence of the LORD, and by his fierce anger.
I am as full of anger as you are, Lord, I am tired of trying to hold it in." The Lord answered, "Vent it, then, on the children who play in the street and on the young men who are gathered together. Husbands and wives are to be included, as well as the old and those who are advanced in years.
The children gather wood, and the fathers kindle the fire, and the women knead their dough, to make cakes to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto other gods, that they may provoke me to anger.
Do they provoke me to anger? saith the LORD: do they not provoke themselves to the confusion of their own faces?
