'Rejoice' in the Bible

Then the Lord’s anger burned against Moses, and He said, “Isn’t Aaron the Levite your brother? I know that he can speak well. And also, he is on his way now to meet you. He will rejoice when he sees you.

On the first day you are to take the product of majestic trees—palm fronds, boughs of leafy trees, and willows of the brook—and rejoice before the Lord your God for seven days.

You will eat there in the presence of the Lord your God and rejoice with your household in everything you do, because the Lord your God has blessed you.

The humble will see it and rejoice.You who seek God, take heart!

Let all who seek You rejoice and be glad in You;let those who love Your salvationcontinually say, “God is great!”

Will You not revive us againso that Your people may rejoice in You?

They rejoice in Your name all day long,and they are exalted by Your righteousness.

You have lifted high the right hand of his foes;You have made all his enemies rejoice.

The upright see it and rejoice,and all injustice shuts its mouth.

He said,“You will not rejoice anymore,ravished young woman, daughter of Sidon.Get up and cross over to Cyprus—even there you will have no rest!”

The humble will have joyafter joy in the Lord,and the poor people will rejoicein the Holy One of Israel.

Your singing will be like thaton the night of a holy festival,and your heart will rejoicelike one who walks to the music of a flute,going up to the mountain of the Lord,to the Rock of Israel.

The wilderness and the dry land will be glad;the desert will rejoice and blossom like a rose.

It will blossom abundantlyand will also rejoice with joy and singing.The glory of Lebanon will be given to it,the splendor of Carmel and Sharon.They will see the glory of the Lord,the splendor of our God.

You will winnow themand a wind will carry them away,a gale will scatter them.But you will rejoice in the Lord;you will boast in the Holy One of Israel.

This is what the Lord, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel says:Because of you, I will send to Babylonand bring all of them as fugitives,even the Chaldeans in the ships in which they rejoice.

Rejoice, heavens, for the Lord has acted;shout, depths of the earth.Break out into singing, mountains,forest, and every tree in it.For the Lord has redeemed Jacob,and glorifies Himself through Israel.

Shout for joy, you heavens!Earth, rejoice!Mountains break into joyful shouts!For the Lord has comforted His people,and will have compassion on His afflicted ones.

Be joyful, rejoice together,you ruins of Jerusalem!For the Lord has comforted His people;He has redeemed Jerusalem.

“Rejoice, childless one, who did not give birth;burst into song and shout,you who have not been in labor!For the children of the forsaken one will be morethan the children of the married woman,”says the Lord.

I will bring them to My holy mountainand let them rejoice in My house of prayer.Their burnt offerings and sacrificeswill be acceptable on My altar,for My house will be called a house of prayerfor all nations.”

Then you will see and be radiant,and your heart will tremble and rejoice,because the riches of the sea will become yoursand the wealth of the nations will come to you.
