'O God' in the Bible
But you say that if a man says to his father or mother, 'Whatever help you might have received from me is a gift to God'
They said, "Caesar's." Then he said to them, "Render therefore to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's."
But you say that if a man says to his father or mother, 'Whatever help you might otherwise have received from me is Corban' (that is, a gift devoted to God),
Jesus said to them, "Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's." And they were amazed at him.
"Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among men with whom he is pleased!"
And coming up at that very hour she gave thanks to God, and spoke of him to all who were looking for the redemption of Jerusalem.
In those days he went out to the mountain to pray, and all night he continued in prayer to God.
Was no one found to return and give praise to God except this foreigner?"
And immediately he received his sight and followed him, glorifying God. And all the people, when they saw it, gave praise to God.
He said to them, "Then render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's."
Jesus, knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he had come from God and was going to God,
They will put you out of the synagogues; yes, the time is coming when whoever kills you will think he is offering service to God.
