He said to them, "Have you never read what David did when he was in need and hungry, he and his men?

heard it was Jesus of Nazaret. So he started to shout, "Son of David! Jesus! have pity on me."

A number of the people checked him and told him to be quiet, but he shouted all the more, "Son of David, have pity on me!"

Blessed be the Reign to come, our father David's reign. Hosanna in high heaven!"

And as Jesus taught in the temple he asked, "How can the scribes say that the Christ is David's son?

David himself said in the holy Spirit, The Lord said to my Lord, 'Sit at my right hand, till I make your enemies a footstool for your feet.'

David here calls him Lord. Then how can he be his son?" Now the mass of the people listened with delight to him.
