And Jacob said to Simeon and Levi, Ye have troubled me, in that ye make me odious among the inhabitants of the land among the Canaanites and the Perizzites; and I am few men in number, and they will gather themselves against me and smite me, and I shall be destroyed, I and my house.
And they say, 'As a harlot doth he make our sister?'
And God said to Jacob, Arise, go up to Bethel, and dwell there, and make there an altar unto the God that appeared unto thee when thou fleddest from the face of Esau thy brother.
Then said Jacob unto his household, and to all that were with him, "Put away the strange gods that are among you and make yourselves clean, and change your garments,

Only bear a remembrance with thee of me when it goes well with thee, and deal kindly, I pray thee, with me, and make mention of me to Pharaoh, and bring me out of this house;
Now when the chief bread-maker saw that the first dream had a good sense, he said to Joseph, I had a dream; and in my dream there were three baskets of white bread on my head;
And in the uppermost basket there were all manner of victuals for Pharaoh that the baker makes, and the birds ate them out of the basket upon my head.
Now the third day was Pharaoh's birthday, and he gave a feast for all his servants; and he gave honour to the chief wine-servant and the chief bread-maker among the others.
But the chief bread-maker was put to death by hanging, as Joseph had said.
Then Pharaoh's senior security advisor spoke up. "Maybe I should make a confession.
Pharaoh had been angry with his servants, and had put me in prison in the house of the captain of the army, together with the chief bread-maker;
And it came about as he said: I was put back in my place, and the bread-maker was put to death by hanging.
and the thin ears devoured the seven good ears. And I told it to the scribes; but there was none to make it known to me.
And this dream came to Pharaoh twice, because this thing is certain, and God will quickly make it come about.
And now let Pharaoh make search for a man of wisdom and good sense, and put him in authority over the land of Egypt.

But he said, You have no love for work: that is why you say, Let us go and make an offering to the Lord.
Go now, get back to your work; no dry stems will be given to you, but you are to make the full number of bricks.

And Pharaoh sent for Moses and Aaron and said, Go and make your offering to your God here in the land.
And Moses said, It is not right to do so; for we make our offerings of that to which the Egyptians give worship; and if we do so before their eyes, certainly we will be stoned.
But we will go three days' journey into the waste land and make an offering to the Lord our God as he may give us orders.
Then said Pharaoh: I, will let you go - so shall ye sacrifice to Yahweh your God in the desert, only ye shall not go a, very long, journey, - make ye entreaty for me.
And Moses said: Lo! I, am going out from thee and will make entreaty unto Yahweh, so will he take away the gad-fly - from Pharaoh from his servants, and from his people tomorrow, - only let not Pharaoh again deceive, in not letting the people go, to sacrifice to Yahweh.
And Pharaoh will make his heart heavy also in this time; he sent not forth the people.
But Yahweh will make a distinction between the livestock of Israel and the livestock of Egypt, and not a thing will die from all [that belongs] to the {Israelites}.'"
and it shall turn to dust in all the land of Egypt, and shall make swelling sores with blains both on man and beast in all the land of Egypt."
And for this I have made you stand, to make you see My power, to declare My name in all the land.
