but now he has obtained a more excellent service, by as much also as he is the mediator of a better covenant, which is established on better promises. For if that first covenant had been faultless, no place would have been sought for the second. [But it was not]. But Christ having come, a chief priest of the good times that were to come, with a greater and a more perfect tabernacle not made with hands, that is, not of this creation, not with blood of goats and bullocks, but with his own blood, entered once into the sanctuary having found eternal redemption. THERE is no condemnation therefore to those in Christ Jesus; for the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus made me free from the law of sin and death. For what the law could not do because it was weak through the flesh, God having sent his Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned the sin in the flesh, read more.

For every commandment of the law having been spoken by Moses to all the people, taking the blood of bullocks and goats with water and scarlet wool and hyssop, he sprinkled both the book itself and all the people, saying, This is the blood of the covenant which God has enjoined upon you.
