God is not a man, that he should lie, neither the son of man, that he should repent. Has he said, and will he not do it? Or has he spoken, and will he not make it good?

If we are unfaithful, that man remains faithful. He cannot renounce himself.

There failed not anything of any good thing which LORD had spoken to the house of Israel; all came to pass.
Blessed be LORD, who has given rest to his people Israel according to all that he promised. There has not failed one word of all his good promise, which he promised by Moses his servant.
Remember his covenant forever, the word which he commanded to a thousand generations,
Thy kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and thy dominion [is] throughout all generations.
The Lord is not slack about his promise, as some regard slackness, but is patient toward us, not wanting any to perish, but all to go forward to repentance.
And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great, and be thou a blessing. And I will bless those who bless thee, and he who curses thee I will curse. And in thee shall all the families of the earth be blessed.
And, behold, the word of LORD came to him, saying, This man shall not be thine heir, but he who shall come forth out of thine own bowels shall be thine heir.
And LORD visited Sarah as he had said, and LORD did to Sarah as he had spoken. And Sarah conceived, and bore Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him.
For this is the word of promise: At this time I will come, and there will be a son by Sarah.

By faith even Sarah herself received power for conception of seed, and she gave birth beyond the time of age, because she considered him faithful who promised.
When thy days are fulfilled, and thou shall sleep with thy fathers, I will set up thy seed after thee, who shall proceed out of thy bowels, and I will establish his kingdom. He shall build a house for my name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever.
And it shall come to pass, when thy days are fulfilled that thou must go to be with thy fathers, that I will set up thy seed after thee, who shall be of thy sons. And I will establish his kingdom. He shall build for me a house, and I will establish his throne forever.
Now it was in the heart of David my father to build a house for the name of LORD, the God of Israel. But LORD said to David my father, Whereas it was in thy heart to build a house for my name, thou did well that it was in thy heart. Let us hold firm the affirmation of the hope unwavering, for he who promised is faithful.

For as many as be promises of God, in him is the Yes, and in him the Truly, for glory to God through us. Now he who establishes us with you in Christ, and who anointed us, is God. He also is who put a seal on us, and who gave the pledge of the Spirit in our hearts.
