He went out and slept on his mat near the palace guards.
Though I was righteous, I could not answer him! I would beg mercy of my Judge.

Adam said: The woman you put here with me gave me some fruit from the tree, and I ate it. Then Jehovah God said to the Eve: What is this you have done? The woman answered: The serpent deceived me, and I ate.
You are doomed! Heroes of the wine bottle! Brave and fearless when it comes to mixing drinks! You let the guilty go free for a bribe and you keep the innocent from getting justice.

But he refused to eat. He said: Send everyone away. So they all left. He said to her: Bring the cakes here to my bed and serve them to me. She took the cakes and went over to him. She offered them to him. He grabbed her and said: Come to bed with me! She said: No! Do not force me to do this disgraceful thing. It is evil. How could I ever hold up my head in public again? And you, you would be completely disgraced in Israel. Please speak to the king. I am sure he will give me to you. Amnon wouldn't listen to her. He grabbed his sister and raped her.
All who are cruel and arrogant will be extinguished. Those who live by crime will be removed. God will destroy those who slander others. He will destroy those who prevent the punishment of criminals and those who tell lies to keep honest people from getting justice.
Herod saw that the astrologers tricked him and he was furious. He sent soldiers to kill all the boys two years old and younger in or near Bethlehem. This matched the time he learned from the astrologers.

This upset the brothers so much that they began tearing their clothes in sorrow. Then they loaded their donkeys and returned to the city. When Judah and his brothers got there, Joseph was still at home. So they bowed down to Joseph. He asked them: What have you done? Did you not know I could find out? Sir, what can we say? Judah replied. How can we prove we are innocent? God has shown that we are guilty. And now all of us are your slaves, especially the one who had the cup.

When David heard the news, he said: Jehovah knows that my subjects and I are completely innocent of the murder of Abner.
The one who pronounces me innocent is near. Who will bring a case against me? Let us confront each other! Who accuses me? Let him draw near to me! The Lord Jehovah helps me. Who will find me guilty? They will all wear out like a garment and moths will eat them.
