And he took the book of the covenant, and read in the audience of the people. And they said, All that LORD has spoken will we do, and be obedient.

And Moses commanded them, saying, At the end of [every] seven years, in the set time of the year of release, in the feast of tabernacles, when all Israel has come to appear before LORD thy God in the place which he shall choose, thou shall read this law before all Israel in their hearing.

Every scripture is inspired by God and useful for instruction, for reproof, for correction, for discipline in righteousness,

Now they know that all things, as many as thou gave me are from thee.

Was it not necessary for the Christ to suffer these things, and to enter into his glory? And having begun from Moses and from all the prophets, he expounded to them in all the scriptures the things about himself.

With which reading ye can recognize my understanding in the mystery of the Christ,

But these are written, so that ye may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing ye may have life in his name.

And that from a babe thou have known the sacred writings, which are able to make thee wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.

Thy word is a lamp to my feet, and light to my path.

Blessed is he who reads, and those who hear the words of the prophecy, and who keep the things written in it, for the time is near.

For as many things as were written previously were written for our learning, so that through perseverance and through the encouragement of the scriptures we might have hope.

My little children, I write these things to you so that ye may not sin. And if any man does sin, we have an advocate with the Father--righteous Jesus Christ.

Therefore, beloved, anticipating these things, be diligent to be found by him in peace, without spot and blameless. And consider the longsuffering of our Lord, salvation, just as also our beloved brother Paul wrote to you according to the wisdom given to him, as also in all his letters, speaking in them about these things, in which are some things hard to understand, which the ignorant and unstable twist, as also the other scriptures, to their own destruction.

I wrote these things to you concerning those who lead you astray.

Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but examine the spirits, whether they are of God, because many FALSE prophets have gone out into the world.
