And David lived in the fort, and called it the city of David. And David built all around, from Millo and inward.

And the king said to Ziba, What are these to you? And Ziba said, The asses are for the king's household to ride upon. And the bread and summer fruit are for the young men to eat. And the wine is so that the ones who are faint in the wilderness may drink.

And they had crossed over the ford to carry over the king's household, and to do what he thought good. And Shimei the son of Gera fell down before the king as he had come over Jordan.

And David was then in a stronghold, and the fort of the Philistines was then in Bethlehem.
