And then I heard the sound of the wings of the living beings as they touched one another and [I heard] the sound of the wheels beside them, a great rushing sound.
And when thou hast accomplished them, lie again on thy right side, and thou shalt bear the iniquity of the house of Judah forty days: I have appointed thee each day for a year.
The food you eat each day shall be [measured] by weight,
You shall drink water by measure also,
because they will lack bread and water. Each one will be terrified, and they will rot for their iniquity.
The customer will no longer pay the seller while both parties are alive, for the vision against their whole crowd will not be revoked. Each person, for his iniquity, will fail to preserve his life.
And escaped away have their fugitives, And they have been on the mountains As doves of the valleys, All of them make a noising -- each for his iniquity.
and seventy men of the elders of the house of Israel -- and Jaazaniah son of Shaphan standing in their midst -- are standing before them, and each his censer in his hand, and the abundance of the cloud of perfume is going up.
And He saith unto me, 'Hast thou seen, son of man, that which elders of the house of Israel are doing in darkness, each in the inner chambers of his imagery, for they are saying, Jehovah is not seeing us, Jehovah hath forsaken the land?'
And He crieth in mine ears -- a loud voice -- saying, 'Drawn near have inspectors of the city, and each his destroying weapon in his hand.'
And lo, six men are coming from the way of the upper gate, that is facing the north, and each his slaughter-weapon in his hand, and one man in their midst is clothed with linen, and a scribe's inkhorn at his loins, and they come in, and stand near the brazen altar.
And I saw, and look, four wheels beside the cherubim, {one wheel beside each cherub}, and the appearance of the wheels [was] like [the] outward appearance of {turquoise stone}.
Their appearance {was the same for each of the four of them}, as if the wheel was in the midst of a wheel.
Their whole body, their backs, their hands, their wings, and the wheels were full of eyes all around, even the wheels belonging to all four of them.
And four faces are to each; the face of the one is the face of the cherub, and the face of the second the face of man, and of the third the face of a lion, and of the fourth the face of an eagle.
Each one had four faces, and every one four wings; and the likeness of the hands of a man was under their wings.
As to the likeness of their faces, they are the faces that I saw by the river Chebar, their appearances and themselves; each straight forward they go.
For {each person} from the house of Israel, and from the alien who dwells as an alien in Israel, who separates himself {from following me} and brings up his idols into his heart and {places before himself} a stumbling block of his guilt, and [yet] he comes to the prophet to consult him concerning me, I Yahweh will answer him myself.
Therefore, each according to his ways I judge you, O house of Israel? An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah, Turn ye back, yea, turn yourselves back, From all your transgressions, And iniquity is not to you for a stumbling-block,
And I say unto them, Let each cast away the detestable things of his eyes, And with the idols of Egypt be not defiled, I am Jehovah your God.
And -- they rebel against Me, And have not been willing to hearken to Me, Each, the detestable things of their eyes, They have not cast away, And the idols of Egypt have not forsaken, And I say -- to pour out My fury on them, To complete Mine anger against them, In the midst of the land of Egypt.
And ye, O house of Israel, thus said the Lord Jehovah: Each his idols -- go -- serve ye, And, afterwards, if ye are not hearkening to me, And My holy name ye do not pollute any more by your gifts, and by your idols.
“Now you, son of man, mark out two roads that the sword of Babylon’s king can take. Both of them should originate from the same land. And make a signpost at the fork in the road to each city.
Behold, the princes of Israel have been in thee to shed blood, each according to his power.
And each with the wife of his neighbour hath done abomination, And each his daughter-in-law hath defiled through wickedness, And each his sister, his father's daughter, hath humbled in thee.
And I will make many peoples amazed at thee, and their kings shall be horribly afraid at thee, when I brandish my sword before them; and they shall tremble at every moment, each one for his life, in the day of thy fall.
And ye have said: The way of the Lord is not pondered, Each according to his ways do I judge you, O house of Israel.'
Ye have stood on your sword, Ye have done abomination, Each the wife of his neighbour ye have defiled, And the land ye possess!
And thou, son of man, the sons of thy people who are speaking about thee, By the walls, and in openings of the houses, Have spoken one with another, each with his brother, Saying: Come in, I pray you, And hear what is the word that cometh out from Jehovah.
And when I prophesied as I was commanded, then was there a noise, as I prophesied and lo! a rattling, and the bones came near, each bone unto its own bone.
And I have called against him, to all My mountains a sword, An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah, The sword of each is against his brother.
And, behold, a wall on the outside of the house round about, and in the man's hand a measuring reed six cubits long, of a cubit and a handbreadth each: so he measured the thickness of the building, one reed; and the height, one reed.
And each chamber was one reed long and one reed broad; and between the chambers were five cubits; and the threshold of the gate, beside the porch of the gate within, was one reed.
And the alcoves of the gate [toward] the way {eastward} [were] {three on each side}; {the same measurements applied to all three of them}; and {the same measurement applied to the pilaster} {on each side}.
And a wall {was before} the alcoves; {one cubit on either side} [was the] wall from here. And the alcove {was six cubits on each side}.
Then he measured the gateway from the roof of one recess to the roof of the opposite one; the distance was 43¾ feet.
And there were narrow windows to the little chambers, and to their posts within the gate round about, and likewise to the arches: and windows were round about inward: and upon each post were palm trees.
And its alcoves [were] {three on each side}, and its pilasters and its porticos {had the same measurement} [as] the first gate: its length [was] fifty cubits, and [its] width [was] twenty-five {cubits}.
Its stairway had seven steps, and its portico was ahead of them. It had palm trees on its pilasters, one on each side.
And its porticos [were] toward the outer courtyard, and palm tree images [were] on its pilasters {one each side}, and {eight steps served as it stairs}.
And its pilasters {faced the outer courtyard}, and {it had palm tree images on its pilasters} {on each side}; and eight steps [served as] its stairs.
And in the portico of the gate {were two tables on each side} to slaughter the burnt offering on them and the sin offering and the guilt offering.
{On each side of the gate were four tables}, eight tables [in all], [and] on them they slaughtered [sacrifices].
There were also four tables of cut stone for the burnt offering,
And he brought me to the porch of the house, and measured each post of the porch, five cubits on this side, and five cubits on that side: and the breadth of the gate was three cubits on this side, and three cubits on that side.
The length of the portico [was] twenty cubits and its width eleven cubits, and with ten steps they went up to it, and the {pilasters had pillars}, {one on each side}.
And he brought me to the temple [sanctuary], and he measured the pilasters, {six cubits wide on each side}; [this was] the width of the tent.
And the width of the doorway [was] ten cubits, and the sidewall of the doorway {was five cubits on each side}, and he measured its length [as] forty cubits, and [its] width [was] twenty cubits.
Then went he inward, and measured each post of the entrance, two cubits; and the entrance, six cubits; and the breadth of the entrance, seven cubits.
And he measured the wall of the house, six cubits; and the width of each side room was four cubits, all around the house on every side.
The side chambers were three stories [high], one above another, and thirty chambers in each story; and the side chambers extended to the wall which stood on their inward side all around, so that they would be attached, but not attached to the wall of the temple itself.
And [each level] widened, and it went around {upward} to the side rooms for the structure that surrounds the temple {upward} {all the way around}, therefore [the] width [increased] to the temple {upward}, and thus the lower [level] goes up to the upper [level] by [means of] the middle story.
and its outer chambers 20 cubits in width, surrounding the Temple on each side.
The front of the Temple and its east-facing courtyard were each 100 cubits long.
And he measured the length of the building {facing the courtyard} {at the rear} and its galleries, {a hundred cubits on each side}, and [also] the temple, the court, and the porticos of the courtyard,
carved with cherubim and palm trees.
The door posts of the main sanctuary were square. Each door post was identical in appearance to the others.
The nave (Holy Place) and the sanctuary (Holy of Holies) each had a double door.
And two leaves of a door [were] for [each of] the doors, two hinged leaves of a door: two [were] for the first door, and two leaves of a door [were] for the other door.
Opposite the 20 cubits wide inner court, and opposite the paved area that comprised the outer court, there were three stories of galleries that faced each other.
“These are the measurements of the altar
You will offer a goat for a sin offering each day for seven days.
And the prince will have the area on each side of the holy donation of land and the city’s property, adjacent to the holy donation and the city’s property, stretching to the west on the west side and to the east on the east side.
“This is the offering that you shall offer: a sixth of an ephah from a homer of wheat; a sixth of an ephah from a homer of barley;
and the prescribed portion of oil, (namely, the bath of oil), a tenth part of a bath [of oil] from each kor (which is ten baths or a homer, for ten baths make a homer);
The sheep quota is to be one from each flock of 200 taken from the pastures of Israel. From all of these you are to present grain offerings, burnt offerings, and peace offerings, to make atonement for them," declares the Lord GOD.
And so thou dost do on the seventh of the month, because of each erring one, and because of the simple one -- and ye have purified the house.
And [during] the seven days of the religious feast he shall provide [as] a burnt offering to Yahweh seven bulls and seven rams without defect for each of the seven days, and [as] a sin offering a he-goat for each day.
He shall provide as a grain offering [to be offered] with each bull an ephah [of grain], an ephah with each ram, and a hin of oil with each ephah [of grain].
The grain offering shall be an ephah with the ram, and the grain offering with the lambs as much as he is able to give, and a hin of oil with an ephah.
Furthermore, each New Moon there is to be a young bull presented without defect, six male lambs, and a ram without defect.
And he shall provide a grain offering, an ephah with the bull and an ephah with the ram, and with the lambs as much as he is able, and a hin of oil with an ephah.
“At the feasts and the appointed festivals the grain offering shall be an ephah with a bull and an ephah with a ram, and with the lambs
“This is what the Lord God says: If the prince gives a gift to each of his sons as their inheritance, it will belong to his sons. It will become their property by inheritance.
And the prince doth not take of the inheritance of the people to oppress them, out of their possession, out of his own possession he doth cause his sons to inherit, so that My people are not scattered each from his possession.'
And he brought me to the outer courtyard and led me past the four corners of the courtyard; and look, {there was a courtyard in each corner of the courtyard}.
In the four corners of the courtyard [were] small courtyards forty [cubits] [in] length and thirty [cubits] [in] width, [each with] {the same measurements} for the four of them with corners.
There was a row of masonry all around inside them, around [each of] the four courtyards, and it was made with cooking hearths under the rows all around.
By the river on its bank, on one side and on the other, will grow all kinds of trees for food. Their leaves will not wither and their fruit will not fail. They shall bear every month because their water flows from the sanctuary, and their fruit will be for food and their leaves for healing.”
And you must take possession of it, each [one] [a share] like his brother, [of this land] which {I swore} to give it to your fathers, and [so] this land shall fall to you as an inheritance.
The allotment [of land] that you shall set apart and offer to the Lord shall be 25,000 cubits in length and 10,000 in width.
