Further, if he were still on earth, he would not be a priest at all, for there are priests enough provided to offer the gifts the Law prescribes??5 though the service they engage in is only a shadow and imitation of that in heaven. For when Moses was going to make the tent of worship he was warned, "Be sure to make it all just like the pattern you were shown on the mountain."

and yet they officiate in a sanctuary that is a mere copy and shadow of the heavenly one, as Moses, when he was about to make the tent of worship, was warned, for, said He, "See to it that you make it all just like the pattern shown you on the mountain."

to the assembly of the firstborn who are enrolled in heaven, to God the Judge of all, to the spirits of just men made perfect,

has been to the God who appointed him, just as Moses was, in all the house of God.

For all who are admitted to God's Rest rest after their work, just as God did after his.

For just as the man who builds a house has greater glory than the house, by just so much is Jesus judged to be worthy of greater glory than Moses.

who does not need, as did the Levitical priests, to offer sacrifices, first for his own sins and then for those of the people; this latter is just what He did once for all when He offered up Himself.

Just consider and meditate on Him who endured from sinners such bitter hostility against Himself [consider it all in comparison with your trials], so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.

And just as it is appointed and destined for all men to die once and after this [comes certain] judgment,

After saying [in the citation] above, “You have neither desired, nor have You taken delight in sacrifices and offerings and whole burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin” (which are offered according to the Law)

For we do not have a high priest who cannot be touched with the feelings of our infirmities, but was in all points tempted just as we are, yet without sin.

"For in just a little while, he who is coming will come and will not delay.

For if the word spoken through angels proved steadfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompense;

he again defines a certain day, "Today," saying through David so long a time afterward (just as has been said), "Today if you will hear his voice, do not harden your hearts."

Nobody takes this honor on himself, but he is called by God, just like Aaron was.

"The just man then will live by faith;" and if he draw back, my soul shall have no delight in him.

For the Good News is come to us just as it did to them. But the message they heard was of no benefit to them, because they did not share the faith of those who gave heed to it.

For we needed just such a high priest, holy, innocent, undefiled, separated from sinners, and exalted above the heavens;

And you will fold them up just like a robe, and they will be changed like the changing of one's coat, but you are the same, and your years will never cease."

But to what angel did He ever say: "Just keep your seat at my right hand, until I make your foes a footstool for your feet"?

For we who have believed are being admitted to that rest, just as He has said: "As in my anger I took oath, they shall not be admitted to my rest," although God's works had been completed at the creation of the world.

Then I said, 'See, I have come, just as the Scripture writes about me in the book, O God, to do your will.'"

And stop neglecting to do good and to be generous, for God is highly pleased with just such sacrifices as these.

Just look at how great this man was! Even Abraham the patriarch himself gave him a tenth of what he had captured!
