For else when thou blessest with the spirit, how shall he that occupieth the room of the unlearned say "amen" at thy giving of thanks? Seeing he understandeth not what thou sayest?

neither filthiness, neither foolish talking, neither jestings, which are not comely: but rather giving of thanks.

giving thanks always for all things unto God the father, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ:

Be not careful: but in all things show your petition unto God in prayer and supplication with giving of thanks.

Ye of Philippi know that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no congregation bare part with me as concerning giving and receiving but ye only.

And he went into the synagogue, and behaved himself boldly for the space of three months: disputing, and giving them exhortations of the kingdom of God.
