Now Simon Peter was standing and warming himself. They said, therefore, unto him - Art, thou also, from among his disciples? He, denied, and said - I am not!
Saith one from among the servants of the High-priest, being, kinsman, of him whose ear Peter cut off, - Did not, I, see thee, in the garden with him?
Ye have a custom among you, that I should deliver you one loose at Easter. Will ye that I loose unto you the King of the Jews?"
So they said to one another, “Let’s not tear it, but cast lots for it, to see who gets it.” They did this to fulfill
they took therefore the body of Jesus, and wound it in linen clothes with the spices, according to the manner of burial among the Jews.
