And Mordecai hath known all that hath been done, and Mordecai rendeth his garments, and putteth on sackcloth and ashes, and goeth forth into the midst of the city and crieth -- a cry loud and bitter,
And the king will say, What honor was done and greatness to Mordecai for this? And the young men of the king serving him will say, Not a word was done with him.
and the king saith to Esther the queen, 'In Shushan the palace have the Jews slain and destroyed five hundred men, and the ten sons of Haman; in the rest of the provinces of the king what have they done? and what is thy petition? and it is given to thee; and what thy request again? and it is done.'
And the king commanded it so to be done: and the decree was given at Shushan; and they hanged Haman's ten sons.
Mordecai wrote these matters down and sent letters to all the Jews who were throughout all the provinces of King Ahasuerus, both near and far,

For there is hope for a tree if it shall be cut down, and it shall yet revive, and its suckers shall not cease.
So man lieth down, and riseth not: till the heavens be no more, they shall not awake, nor be raised out of their sleep.
Know now, that God turned me upside down, And His net against me hath set round,
For he pressed down and forsook the poor; he stole a house, but he had not built it.
Together -- on the dust they lie down, And the worm doth cover them over.
see that their increase shall be hewn down, and their posterity consumed with fire.

He croucheth, he boweth down, And the helpless fall by his strong ones.
For the foundations will be cast down, and what hath the righteous done?

I will give thanks to you forever, because [of what] you have done, and I will wait on your name, because [it is] good, in the presence of your faithful ones.
Attend to me and answer me; I shall flow down and make a noise in my complaint
and all people will fear. They will proclaim what God has done, and reflect on his deeds.
so that [the] inhabitants of [the] farthest reaches are in awe of your signs. You make the dawn and sunset sing for joy.
The streams of water shall not overflow me, and the depth shall not swallow me down, and the well shall not close upon me her mouth.
Before him the coastlands will bow down, and his enemies will lick the dust.
For God is the judge! He brings one down and exalts another.
For in the hand of the LORD there is a cup, and the wine is red; it is fully mixed; and he pours out of the same: but the dregs thereof, all the wicked of the earth shall drain them down, and drink them.
