For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me.
I have many things to say and to judge regarding you, but he that sent me is true; and those things which I have heard of him, I speak in the world.
For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father who sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say and what I should speak.
Believest thou not that I am in the Father and the Father in me? The words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself; but the Father that dwells in me, he does the works.
From now on I do not call you slaves, for the slave does not know what his lord does; but I have called you friends, for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.

No man has seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he has declared him.
But we see this same Jesus, crowned with glory and honour, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man. For we have not made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, following cunningly devised fables, but as eyewitnesses of his majesty.
