And Abram said, Behold, to me thou hast given no seed; and, behold, one born in my house is my heir. And then the word of the LORD came unto him, saying, This shall not be thy heir; but he that shall come forth out of thine own bowels shall be thy heir.

A good man shall leave an inheritance to his children's children, and the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just.

House and riches are the inheritance from fathers, but the prudent wife is from the LORD.

Why should the name of our father be done away from among his family because he has no son? Give unto us therefore a possession among the brethren of our father. And Moses brought their cause before the LORD. This is the thing which the LORD commands concerning the daughters of Zelophehad, saying, Let them marry as they desire; but they shall marry only within the family of the tribe of their father so that the inheritance of the sons of Israel shall not be passed from tribe to tribe; for each one of the sons of Israel shall cleave to the inheritance of the tribe of his fathers.

He has received his servant Israel in remembrance of his mercy as he spoke to our fathers, to Abraham, and to his seed forever.

Ye are the sons of the prophets and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying unto Abraham, And in thy seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed.

Much in every way: first, certainly, that the oracles of God have been entrusted unto them.

And if ye are Christ's, then ye are Abraham's seed and heirs according to the promise.

For the promise that he should be the heir of the world was not to Abraham or to his seed through the law, but through the righteousness of faith. For if those who are of the law are the heirs, faith is in vain, and the promise annulled, because the law works wrath; for where there is no law, there is no rebellion either.read more.

And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, so that death intervening for the redemption of the rebellions that took place under the first testament, those who are called might receive the promise of the eternal inheritance.

For if the inheritance is of the law, it is no longer of promise; but God gave it to Abraham by promise.
