'Brother' in the Bible
As he was walking by the Sea of Galilee he saw two brothers, Simon (called Peter) and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea (for they were fishermen).
Going on from there he saw two other brothers, James the son of Zebedee and John his brother, in a boat with Zebedee their father, mending their nets. Then he called them.
But I say to you that anyone who is angry with a brother will be subjected to judgment. And whoever insults a brother will be brought before the council, and whoever says 'Fool' will be sent to fiery hell.
So then, if you bring your gift to the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you,
leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to your brother and then come and present your gift.
Or how can you say to your brother, 'Let me remove the speck from your eye,' while there is a beam in your own?
Now these are the names of the twelve apostles: first, Simon (called Peter), and Andrew his brother; James son of Zebedee and John his brother;
"Brother will hand over brother to death, and a father his child. Children will rise against parents and have them put to death.
For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother."

He did not let anyone follow him except Peter, James, and John, the brother of James.
Isn't this the carpenter, the son of Mary and brother of James, Joses, Judas, and Simon? And aren't his sisters here with us?" And so they took offense at him.
For Herod himself had sent men, arrested John, and bound him in prison on account of Herodias, his brother Philip's wife, because Herod had married her.

Andrew, the brother of Simon Peter, was one of the two disciples who heard what John said and followed Jesus.

So Ananias departed and entered the house, placed his hands on Saul and said, "Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus, who appeared to you on the road as you came here, has sent me so that you may see again and be filled with the Holy Spirit."
When they heard this, they praised God. Then they said to him, "You see, brother, how many thousands of Jews there are who have believed, and they are all ardent observers of the law.
