After these things God tested Abraham

and spake unto Ephron in the ears of the people of the land saying, Only if, thou, wouldst, hear me, - I have given the silver of the field Take it of me, That I may bury my dead here.

Now, may the girl to whom I say, Let down your vessel and give me a drink, and who says in answer, Here is a drink for you and let me give water to your camels: may she be the one marked out by you for your servant Isaac: so may I be certain that you have been good to my master Abraham.
Laban said, “Come, you who are blessed by the Lord.

Now pay attention! I'm here with you, and I'm going to be watching over you wherever you go. I'm going to bring you back to this land, because I won't ever leave you until I've accomplished what I've promised about you."
“Is he well?” Jacob asked.

"No, your majesty," they replied. "Your servants have come here to buy food.
But Joseph kept insisting, "It's just as I've said you've come here to spy on our unguarded territories!"
This is how you will be tested: As surely as Pharaoh lives, you will not leave this place unless your youngest brother comes here.
If you are honest men, leave one of your brothers confined here in prison while the rest of you go and take grain back for your hungry families.

And now don’t be worried or angry with yourselves for selling me here, because God sent me ahead of you to preserve life.
Therefore it was not you who sent me here, but God. He has made me a father to Pharaoh, lord of his entire household, and ruler over all the land of Egypt.
Tell my father about all my glory in Egypt and about all you have seen. And bring my father here quickly.”
You are also commanded, ‘Do this: Take wagons from the land of Egypt for your young children and your wives and bring your father here.
That night God spoke to Israel in a vision:
And Jacob replied, “Here I am.”
