'Light' in the Bible
Then God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.
God saw that the light was good, and God separated the light from the darkness.
God called the light “day,” and He called the darkness “night.” Evening came and then morning: the first day.
They will be lights in the expanse of the sky to provide light on the earth.” And it was so.
God made the two great lights—the greater light to have dominion over the day and the lesser light to have dominion over the night—as well as the stars.
God placed them in the expanse of the sky to provide light on the earth,
to dominate the day and the night, and to separate light from darkness. And God saw that it was good.
They struck the men who were at the entrance of the house, both young and old, with a blinding light so that they were unable to find the entrance.
At morning light, the men were sent off with their donkeys.
One person could not see another, and for three days they did not move from where they were. Yet all the Israelites had light where they lived.
The Lord went ahead of them in a pillar of cloud to lead them on their way during the day and in a pillar of fire to give them light at night, so that they could travel day or night.

“Speak to Aaron and tell him: When you set up the lamps, the seven lamps are to give light in front of the lampstand.”
So Aaron did this; he set up its lamps to give light in front of the lampstand just as the Lord had commanded Moses.
“You must not have two different weights in your bag, one heavy and one light.
Early that morning, the woman made her way back, and as it was getting light, she collapsed at the doorway of the man’s house where her master was.
Otherwise, as surely as the Lord God of Israel lives, who prevented me from harming you, if you had not come quickly to meet me, Nabal wouldn’t have had any men left by morning light.”
Then Abigail went to Nabal, and there he was in his house, holding a feast fit for a king. Nabal was in a good mood and very drunk, so she didn’t say anything to him until morning light.

But now, for a brief moment, grace has come from Yahweh our God to preserve a remnant for us and give us a stake in His holy place. Even in our slavery, God has given us new life and light to our eyes.
Now, our God, what can we say in light of this? For we have abandoned the commands
If only that day had turned to darkness!May God above not care about it,or light shine on it.

He reveals mysteries from the darknessand brings the deepest darkness into the light.
They grope around in darkness without light;He makes them stagger like drunken men. >
They turned night into dayand made light seem near in the face of darkness.
Yes, the light of the wicked is extinguished;the flame of his fire does not glow.
The light in his tent grows dark,and the lamp beside him is put out.
He is driven from light to darknessand chased from the inhabited world.
When you make a decision, it will be carried out,and light will shine on your ways.
The wicked are those who rebel against the light.They do not recognize its waysor stay on its paths.
In the dark they break into houses;by day they lock themselves in,never experiencing the light.
Can His troops be numbered?Does His light not shine on everyone?
He laid out the horizon on the surface of the watersat the boundary between light and darkness.

His snorting flashes with light,while his eyes are like the rays of dawn.
Lord, You light my lamp;my God illuminates my darkness.
The precepts of the Lord are right,making the heart glad;the command of the Lord is radiant,making the eyes light up.
Davidic.The Lord is my light and my salvation—whom should I fear?The Lord is the stronghold of my life—of whom should I be afraid?
for with You is life’s fountain.In Your light we will see light.
My heart races, my strength leaves me,and even the light of my eyes has faded.
Send Your light and Your truth; let them lead me.Let them bring me to Your holy mountain,to Your dwelling place.

I form light and create darkness,I make success and create disaster;I, Yahweh, do all these things.
He says,“It is not enough for you to be My Servantraising up the tribes of Jacoband restoring the protected ones of Israel.I will also make you a light for the nations,to be My salvation to the ends of the earth.”
Who among you fears the Lord,listening to the voice of His Servant?Who among you walks in darkness,and has no light?Let him trust in the name of Yahweh;let him lean on his God.
Look, all you who kindle a fire,who encircle yourselves with firebrands;walk in the light of your fireand in the firebrands you have lit!This is what you’ll get from My hand:you will lie down in a place of torment.
