When he arrived at the other side of the lake in the country of the Gadarenes two men possessed by demons came to him from out of the tombs. They were extremely violent, so no man could pass by that way. They screamed at him, saying: What have we to do with you, Son of God? Have you come to torment us before the time? A large herd of swine was feeding in the distance. The demons pleaded with him: If you cast us out, send us into the herd of swine! He told them to go. And they came out, and went into the swine. Peter got out of the boat and walked on the water toward Jesus. When he noticed how strong the wind was, he became afraid. He began to sink, and cried: Help me Lord! Suddenly, Jesus put out his hand and took hold of him, and said: You of little faith, why were you in doubt? The wind went down when they got into the boat. The other disciples came in the little boat (for they were not far from the land, but about one hundred yards away), dragging the net full of fishes. When they got to land, they saw a fire of coals and fish laid on it, and bread. Jesus said: Bring the fish you caught. Simon Peter went to draw the net to land.
