And every living substance was destroyed which was upon the face of the ground, both man, and cattle, and the creeping things, and the fowl of the heaven; and they were destroyed from the earth: and Noah only remained alive, and they that were with him in the ark.
Also he sent forth a dove from him, to see if the waters were abated from off the face of the ground;
And it came to pass in the six hundredth and first year, in the first month, the first day of the month, the waters were dried up from off the earth: and Noah removed the covering of the ark, and looked, and, behold, the face of the ground was dry.
By the twenty-seventh day of the second month, the ground was dry.
Bring out with you every living thing from all flesh—birds and animals and every crawling thing that crawls on the earth—that they may breed abundantly on the earth, and be fruitful and multiply on the earth.”
And the LORD smelled a sweet savour; and the LORD said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man's sake; for the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done.

And he lift up his eyes and looked, and, lo, three men stood by him: and when he saw them, he ran to meet them from the tent door, and bowed himself toward the ground,
And there came two angels to Sodom at even; and Lot sat in the gate of Sodom: and Lot seeing them rose up to meet them; and he bowed himself with his face toward the ground;

And he said, "O Yahweh, God of my master Abraham, please grant me success today and show loyal love to my master Abraham.
Then, shalt thou clear thyself from mine oath, for thou shalt go in unto my kindred, - and, if they will not grant her unto thee, then shalt thou be clear from mine oath.
When Abraham’s servant heard their words, he bowed himself to the ground [in worship] before the Lord.
May the LORD grant you dew from the skies, and from the fertile land; may he grant you abundant grain and fresh wine.
And he dreamed:

And Joseph buyeth all the ground of Egypt for Pharaoh, for the Egyptians have sold each his field, for the famine hath been severe upon them, and the land becometh Pharaoh's;

Then Joseph removed them from his knees and bowed down with his face to the ground.
Then beholdeth he rest, that it is good, And the ground that it is pleasant, - So he bendeth his shoulder to bear, And becometh a tributary servant.
Thus, shall ye say to Joseph - Ah now! do forgive we pray thee the transgression of thy brethren and their sin in that with evil, they requited thee. Now, therefore grant forgiveness we pray thee, for the transgression of the servants of the God of thy father! And Joseph wept when they spake unto him.
