He answered and said, "It is written, 'Man shall not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.'"

While he thus spake unto them, behold, there came a certain ruler, and worshipped him saying, "My daughter is even now deceased: but come and lay thy hand on her, and she shall live."

and besought him greatly saying, "My daughter lieth at point of death, I would thou wouldst come and lay thy hand on her, that she might be safe and live."

And Jesus answered him, saying, "It is written, 'Man shall not live by bread only, but by every word of God.'"

But what went ye out for to see? A man clothed in soft raiment? Behold, they which are gorgeously appareled, and live delicately, are in kings' courts.

And he said unto him, "Thou hast answered right. This do and thou shalt live."

For he is not the God of the dead, but of them which live. For all live in him."

Verily, verily I say unto you, the time shall come, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the son of God. And they that hear, shall live.
