Is there any number to his armies? and upon whom does not his light arise?
"The ghosts of the dead writhe under the waters along with those who live there with them.

“[As for] the earth, out of it comes food,

There is a path which no fowl knows, and which the falcon's eye has not seen:
The proud animals have not trodden it, nor has the fierce lion passed by there.
There putteth he his hand upon the stony rocks, and overthroweth the mountains.
There is nothing so worthy, or so excellent, as once to be named unto her: for perfect wisdom goeth far beyond them all.
God understands how to get there; he knows where they live.
because I saved [the] needy who cried for help, and [I saved] [the] orphan for whom [there was] no helper.
"I used to say: "I will die in my home. I'm going to live as many days as there are grains of sand on the shore.
There are turned upon me terrors, - Chased away as with a wind, is mine abundance, and, as a cloud, hath passed away my prosperity.

“Who is there who has not had enough to eat at Job’s table?”
Instead of wheat, let there come forth bramble, and, instead of barley, a bad-smelling weed! Ended are the words of Job.
So these three men ceased answering Job, because he was righteous in his own eyes [and could not be persuaded otherwise by them].
And Elihu seeth that there is no answer in the mouth of the three men, and his anger burneth.
But there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty gives him understanding.
And unto you I attend, And lo, there is no reasoner for Job, Or answerer of his sayings among you.
And I have waited because they do not speak, because they stand [there] [and] no longer answer.
I am clean without transgression, I am innocent; neither is there iniquity in me.
For when God doth once command a thing, there should no man be curious to search whether it be right.

If there are words -- answer me, Speak, for I have a desire to justify thee.
If there are not -- hearken thou to me, Keep silent, and I teach thee wisdom.
Where is there such one as Job, that drinketh up scornfulness like water?
For thou should not say, There shall be no visitation to a man, [whereas] visitation [is] to him from LORD.
And if there is understanding, hear this, Give ear to the voice of my words.
There is no darkness nor death-shade, For workers of iniquity to be hidden there;
He strikes them {where the wicked stood}, {where there are onlookers},
that the godless man may not reign, that there be no one to ensnare the people.
"There is a great cry and complaint made by them that are oppressed with violence; yea, every man complaineth upon the cruel arm of tyrants.
There they cry, and He doth not answer, Because of the pride of evil doers.
And, now, because there is not, He hath appointed His anger, And He hath not known in great extremity.
for there is still more to be said on God’s behalf.
Even so would he have allured thee out of the jaws of distress into a broad place, where there is no straitness; and the supply of thy table would be full of fatness.
Because there is wrath, beware lest it take thee away through chastisement: then a great ransom could not avail thee.
Prolong not thou the time, till there come a night for thee, to set other people in thy stead.
Behold, God is of a mighty high power: Where is there such a guide and lawgiver as he?
Lo, God is high, And we know not the number of His years, Yea, there is no searching.
God thunders
He does not restrain the lightning
when His rumbling voice is heard.
There is no searching out of the Ruler of all: his strength and his judging are great; he is full of righteousness, doing no wrong.
To cause it to rain on the earth, where no man is; on the wilderness, in which there is no man;
To give water to the land where there is waste and destruction, and to make the dry land green with young grass?
Is there a father for the rain, or who fathered [the] drops of dew?
It lives on a rock and spends the night there, on a rocky crag and a fortress.
From there it spies out [the] prey; its eyes look from far away.
And his brood gulp up blood, And where the pierced are -- there is he!
For food do mountains bear for him, And all the beasts of the field play there.
And why? There dare none be so bold as to raise him up. Who is able to stand before me?
Who ever went against me, and got the better of me? There is no one under heaven!
Around his teeth there is terror.
out of his nostrils there goeth smoke, like as out of a hot seething pot.
There is strength in his neck. Terror dances before him.
There is no flaw in his body's armor; it is firmly fixed on him and unbreachable.
If any man draw out a sword at him, it shall not hurt him: there may neither spear, javelin, nor breast plate abide him.
There is not on the earth his like, That is made without terror.
"I know that thou hast power over all things, and that there is no thought hid unto thee.
Then came there unto him all his brethren, and all his sisters, and all they that had been of his acquaintance before, and did eat bread with him in his house: and they consoled him, and comforted him over all the trouble that the LORD had brought upon him: every man also gave him a piece of money, and everyone a ring of gold.
And Jehovah blessed the latter state of Job more than his beginning: and there will be to him fourteen thousand sheep, and six thousand camels, and a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand she-asses.
And there will be to him seven sons and three daughters.
And there have not been found women fair as the daughters of Job in all the land, and their father doth give to them an inheritance in the midst of their brethren.
