Be calm and alert. Your opponent the devil is always prowling about like a roaring lion, trying to devour you.
But the Lord stood by me and gave me strength, so that the message preached by me might have its full effect and all the heathen might hear it. So I was rescued from the lion's jaws. The Lord will rescue me from every wicked work and save me to His heavenly kingdom. To Him be glory forever and ever. Amen.
Resist him and be strong in faith, because you know that your brotherhood all over the world is experiencing the same sort of sufferings.

So you must take on God's full armor, so as to be able to take a stand in the day when evil attacks you, and, after having completely finished the contest, to hold your own. Hold your position, then, with your waist encircled with the belt of truth, put on right-doing as a coat of mail, and put on your feet the preparation the good news of peace supplies. Besides all these, take on the shield which faith provides, for with it you will be able to put out all the fire-tipped arrows shot by the evil one, take the helmet salvation provides, and take the sword the Spirit wields, which is the word of God. Keep on praying in the Spirit, with every kind of prayer and entreaty, at every opportunity, be ever on the alert with perfect devotion and entreaty for all God's people,
So I would have the younger women marry, have children, and keep house, so as not to give our opponents any occasion for slander. For some widows have already turned aside to follow Satan.

Now the crown for doing right awaits me, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award me on that day, and not only me but also all who have loved His appearing.
