I hate your new moon festivals and assemblies; they are a burden that I am tired of carrying. They profess to know God but with their deeds they deny him, since they are detestable, disobedient, and unfit for any good deed.
But your sinful acts have alienated you from your God; your sins have caused him to reject you and not listen to your prayers.
Do not reject me! Do not take your Holy Spirit away from me!
If I had harbored sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened.
