And he said, This I will do: I will pull down my barns and build greater; and there will I stow all my fruits and my goods.

And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years: take thine ease; eat, drink, and be merry.

But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness and despise government: presumptuous, self-willed; they are not afraid to rail at dignities:

Go to now, ye that say, To day or to morrow we will go to such a city, and continue there a year, and traffick, and get gain:

But he that denieth me before man, shall be denied before the angels of God.

As much as she hath glorified herself and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her: because she saith in her heart, I sit as a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow. Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and sorrow, and famine; and she shall be burnt with fire; for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her.

Then were brought to him little children, that he should lay his hands on them and pray: and the disciples rebuked them.

And they brought to him infants also, that he might touch them; but the disciples seeing it, rebuked them.

And they brought little children to him that he might touch them; but the disciples rebuked those that brought them. But Jesus seeing it was much displeased and said to them, Suffer little children to come to me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.

But his disciples seeing it, had indignation, saying, To what purpose is this waste? For this ointment might have been sold for much, and given to the poor.

But there were some that had indignation within themselves, and said, Why was this waste of the ointment made? For it might have been sold for more than three hundred pence and given to the poor. And they murmured at her.

Because thou sayst, I am rich, and have inriched myself, and have need of nothing, and knowest not, that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked.

And they that passed by, reviled him, wagging their heads and saying, Ah, thou that destroyest the temple, and buildest it in three days, Save thyself, and come down from the cross. Let the Christ, the king of Israel, come down now from the cross, that we may see and believe. They also that were crucified with him reviled him.
