'Us' in the Bible
They were the ones who said to God, “Leave us alone!”and “What can the Almighty do to us?”
Did not the One who made me in the womb also make them?Did not the same God form us both in the womb?
Let us judge for ourselves what is right;let us decide together what is good.
But no one asks, “Where is God my Maker,who provides us with songs in the night,
who gives us more understanding than the animals of the earthand makes us wiser than the birds of the sky?”
Teach us what we should say to Him;we cannot prepare our case because of our darkness.
“Let us tear off their chainsand free ourselves from their restraints.”
Many are saying, “Who can show us anything good?”Look on us with favor, Lord.
You, Lord, will guard us;You will protect us from this generation forever.
Let us shout for joy at your victoryand lift the banner in the name of our God.May Yahweh fulfill all your requests.
Lord, give victory to the king!May He answer us on the day that we call.
May Your faithful love rest on us, Yahweh,for we put our hope in You.
Proclaim Yahweh’s greatness with me;let us exalt His name together.
Lord my God, You have done many things—Your wonderful works and Your plans for us;none can compare with You.If I were to report and speak of them,they are more than can be told.
For the choir director. A Maskil of the sons of Korah.God, we have heard with our ears—our ancestors have told us—the work You accomplished in their days,in days long ago:
But You give us victory over our foesand let those who hate us be disgraced.
But You have rejected and humiliated us;You do not march out with our armies.
You make us retreat from the foe,and those who hate ushave taken plunder for themselves.
You hand us over to be eaten like sheepand scatter us among the nations.
You make us an object of reproach to our neighbors,a source of mockery and ridicule to those around us.
You make us a joke among the nations,a laughingstock among the peoples.
All this has happened to us,but we have not forgotten Youor betrayed Your covenant.
But You have crushed us in a haunt of jackalsand have covered us with deepest darkness.
Wake up, Lord! Why are You sleeping?Get up! Don’t reject us forever!
Rise up! Help us!Redeem us because of Your faithful love.
The Lord of Hosts is with us;the God of Jacob is our stronghold.Selah
Yahweh of Hosts is with us;the God of Jacob is our stronghold.Selah
He subdues peoples under usand nations under our feet.
He chooses for us our inheritance—the pride of Jacob, whom He loves.Selah

The earth has produced its harvest;God, our God, blesses us.
God will bless us,and all the ends of the earth will fear Him.
A Maskil of Asaph.Why have You rejected us forever, God?Why does Your anger burnagainst the sheep of Your pasture?
Your adversaries roared in the meeting placewhere You met with us.They set up their emblems as signs.
They said in their hearts,“Let us oppress them relentlessly.”They burned down every place throughout the landwhere God met with us.
There are no signs for us to see.There is no longer a prophet.And none of us knows how long this will last.
things we have heard and knownand that our fathers have passed down to us.
We have become an object of reproachto our neighbors,a source of mockery and ridiculeto those around us.
Do not hold past sins against us;let Your compassion come to us quickly,for we have become weak.
God of our salvation, help us—for the glory of Your name.Deliver us and atone for our sins,because of Your name.

Restore us, God;look on us with favor,and we will be saved.
You make us quarrel with our neighbors;our enemies make fun of us.

Then we will not turn away from You;revive us, and we will call on Your name.
Restore us, Yahweh, the God of Hosts;look on us with favor, and we will be saved.
They say, “Come, let us wipe them out as a nationso that Israel’s name will no longer be remembered.”
who said, “Let us seize God’s pastures for ourselves.”
Return to us, God of our salvation,and abandon Your displeasure with us.
Will You be angry with us forever?Will You prolong Your anger for all generations?
Will You not revive us againso that Your people may rejoice in You?
Teach us to number our days carefullyso that we may develop wisdom in our hearts.
Satisfy us in the morning with Your faithful loveso that we may shout with joy and be glad all our days.
Make us rejoice for as many days as You have humbled us,for as many years as we have seen adversity.
Let the favor of the Lord our God be on us;establish for us the work of our hands—establish the work of our hands!
Come, let us shout joyfully to the Lord,shout triumphantly to the rock of our salvation!
Let us enter His presence with thanksgiving;let us shout triumphantly to Him in song.
Come, let us worship and bow down;let us kneel before the Lord our Maker.
Acknowledge that Yahweh is God.He made us, and we are His —His people, the sheep of His pasture.
He will not always accuse usor be angry forever.
He has not dealt with us as our sins deserveor repaid us according to our offenses.
As far as the east is from the west,so far has He removedour transgressions from us.
Save us, Yahweh our God,and gather us from the nations,so that we may give thanks to Your holy nameand rejoice in Your praise.
God, haven’t You rejected us?God, You do not march out with our armies.

Not to us, Yahweh, not to us,but to Your name give glorybecause of Your faithful love, because of Your truth.
The Lord remembers us and will bless us.He will bless the house of Israel;He will bless the house of Aaron;
For His faithful love to us is great;the Lord’s faithfulness endures forever.Hallelujah!
This is the day the Lord has made;let us rejoice and be glad in it.

Can one say about anything,“Look, this is new”?It has already existed in the ages before us.
Take me with you—let us hurry.Oh, that the king would bring me to his chambers.Y We will rejoice and be glad for you;we will praise your love more than wine.W It is only right that they adore you.
