Being, however, unable to get him near to Jesus, owing to the crowd, they removed the roofing below which Jesus was; and, when they had made an opening, they let down the mat on which the paralyzed man was lying.

"No one sews a patch of unshrunk cloth on an old garment; if he does, the new piece will pull away from the old, and the tear is made worse.

And it came to pass, that he was going on the sabbath day through the fields of grain: and his disciples began, as they went, to pull the ears of grain.

After screaming out and throwing him into a terrible convulsion, it came out. The boy looked so much like a corpse [so still and pale] that many [of the spectators] said, “He is dead!”

And if your eye ensnare you, pull it out: it is better for you to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, than having two eyes to be thrown into hell-fire,

And they said, Moses suffered to write a bill of divorcement, and to put her away.

But one of those who stood by drew his sword and struck a blow at the High Priest's servant, cutting off his ear.

"We have heard him say, 'I will pull down this Sanctuary built by human hands, and three days afterwards I will erect another built without hands.'"

Some of those present began to spit at him, and to blindfold his eyes, and strike him, saying, as they did so, "Now play the Prophet!" and even the police-officers received him with blows.

And Peter being below in the palace-court, there comes one of the maids of the high priest,

And the veil of the temple was split in two from above to below.
