And, when these Samaritans had come to Jesus, they begged him to stay with them, and he stayed there two days.
After these two days Jesus went away from there into Galilee.
After these things there was a feast of the Jews; and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.
In these lay a multitude of them that were sick, blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water.
After these [things] Jesus found him at the temple and said to him, "Look, you have become well! Sin no longer, lest something worse happen to you."
And for this cause the Jews persecuted Jesus, because he did these things on the sabbath.
Jesus therefore answered and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father doing: for what things soever he doeth, these the Son also doeth in like manner.
for the father loveth the son, and sheweth him all that he himself doth: and he will shew him greater works than these, so that you will be surprized.
But the witness which I receive is not from man: howbeit I say these things, that ye may be saved.
"But I have a testimony greater than John's, for the works which the Father has given to me that I should complete them--the very works which I am doing--[these] testify about me, that the Father has sent me.
Ye search the scriptures, because ye think that in them ye have eternal life; and these are they which bear witness of me;
After these things Jesus went away to the other side of the sea of Galilee, which is the sea of Tiberias.
Jesus therefore lifting up his eyes, and seeing that a great multitude cometh unto him, saith unto Philip, Whence are we to buy bread, that these may eat?
Philip responded to Him, The loaves of two hundred denaria are not sufficient for these, that each one may receive a little.
There is a lad here, who hath five barley loaves, and two fishes: but what are these among so many?
Jesus answered, "Have these people recline [on the ground]." Now there was a lot of grass in that place. So, the men, numbering about five thousand, reclined [on the grass].
When the crowd saw that neither Jesus nor his disciples were there, they got into these boats and went to Capernaum to look for Jesus.
Jesus answered them, "Truly, truly I tell you, it is not because you saw Signs that you are in quest of me, but because you ate these loaves and had your fill.
These things said he in the synagogue, as he taught in Capernaum.
So, when they heard [these things], many of Jesus' disciples said, "This is difficult teaching. Who can listen to it [i.e., and accept it]?"
From this, many of his disciples went back at these things, and walked no more with him.
And after these things Jesus walked in Galilee: for he would not walk in Judaea, because the Jews sought to kill him.
So His brothers said to Him, "Leave these parts and go into Judaea, that not only we but your disciples also may witness the miracles which you perform.
For no man doeth anything in secret, and himself seeketh to be known openly. If thou doest these things, manifest thyself to the world.
And having said these things unto them, he abode'still in Galilee.
The Jews meanwhile kept looking for him at feast, and saying, "Where is he?" "I am no longer in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own Name these whom thou hast given me, that they may be one as we are one.
No one, however, was speaking openly about him, for fear of the Jews. "But now I am coming to thee, and I am speaking these things while I am in the world, so that they may have my joy in all its fulness in themselves.
But many from the crowd believed in him, and they said, When the Christ comes, will he do more signs than these that this man did?
The Pharisees heard the multitude murmuring these things concerning him; and the chief priests and the Pharisees sent officers to take him.
Some of the multitude therefore, when they heard these words, said, This is of a truth the prophet.
But these people who have no knowledge of the law are cursed.
Then Jesus raising himself up, and seeing no person but the woman, said unto her, Woman, where are these thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?
"Even if I am giving testimony about myself," replied Jesus, "my testimony is true; for I know where I came from and where I am going, but you know neither of these two things.
These words spake he in the treasury, as he taught in the temple: and no man took him; because his hour was not yet come.
I have many things to speak and to judge concerning you: howbeit he that sent me is true; and the things which I heard from him, these speak I unto the world.
Jesus therefore said, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he , and that I do nothing of myself, but as the Father taught me, I speak these things.
As he spake these things, many believed on him.
After He said these things He spit on the ground, made some mud
Certain from among the Pharisees, therefore, were saying - This man is not, from God, because, the Sabbath, he keepeth not. Others, howeverwere saying - How can a sinful man, such signs as these, be doing? And there was, a division, among them.
But these Jews [i.e., Pharisees] did not believe that the man had been blind and had received his sight back until they called his parents
These things said his parents, because they feared the Jews: for the Jews had agreed already, that if any man should confess him to be Christ, he should be put out of the synagogue.
Those of the Pharisees who were with him heard these things, and said unto him, Are we also blind?
And I have other sheep which are not from this fold. I must bring these also, and they will hear my voice, and they will become one flock--one shepherd.
No one takes it away from me; I give it up of myself. I have power to give it up, and I have power to take it again. These orders I have from my Father.
There arose a division again among the Jews because of these words.
Others said, These are not the sayings of one possessed with a demon. Can a demon open the eyes of the blind?
Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believe not: the works that I do in my Father's name, these bear witness of me.
Jesus replied,
"Are there not," replied Jesus, "these words in your Law--'I said "Ye are gods"'?
But if he walks at night he [might] stumble, because there is no light [to see by]. [Note: These words have a figurative meaning as Jesus is speaking about His mission in life].
These things spake he: and after this he saith unto them, Our friend Lazarus is fallen asleep; but I go, that I may awake him out of sleep.
And Jesus spake of his death: but these supposed that he speaks of the repose of sleep.
"Yes, Lord," she said, "I do believe you are the Christ, the Son of God, who was to come into the world" ??28 and with these words she went off to call her sister Mary, telling her secretly, "The Teacher is here, and he is calling for you."
And when she said these things, she departed and called Mary her sister privately, saying, The teacher is here and calls thee.
When Jesus saw her and her Jewish friends, who had come with her, crying, He felt distressed in His spirit and [visibly] troubled [Note: This last word means to shake with emotion, and seems to have been caused by His deep sympathy for these grieving people],
I was certain that your ears are at all times open to me, but I said it because of these who are here, so that they may see that you sent me.
And [when he] had said these [things], he cried out with a loud voice, "Lazarus, come out!"
These things understood not his disciples at the first: but when Jesus was glorified, then remembered they that these things were written of him, and that they had done these things unto him.
Now there were certain Greeks among those going up to Jerusalem to worship [God] at the [Passover] Festival [Note: These people were God-fearing Gentiles like Cornelius. See Acts 10].
these therefore came to Philip, who was of Bethsaida of Galilee, and asked him, saying, Sir, we would see Jesus.
By these words he indicated what death he was destined to die.
while ye have the light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light. after having said these things, Jesus retir'd, and conceal'd himself from them.
And, although such signs, as these, he had done before them, they were not believing on him: -
This was so that these words, which Isaiah the prophet had spoken, would be fulfilled [Isa. 53:1], "Lord, who has believed our message? And who has the Lord's power been shown to?"
The reason why they were unable to believe is given by Isaiah elsewhere, in these words--
these things said Esaias, when he saw his glory, and spake of him.

Jesus answered and said to him, "What I am doing you do not understand now, but you will understand after these [things]."
if ye comprehend these things, happy are ye if ye put them in practice.
When Jesus utter'd these words, he was troubled in spirit, and said without disguise, I assure you, that one of you shall betray me.
Do you not believe that I am in union with the Father and that the Father is in union with me? I am not saying these things on my own authority, but the Father who always remains in union with me is doing these things Himself.
Believe ye me that I in the Father, and the Father in me: and if not, for these works believe me.
I assure you, he that believeth on me, shall likewise perform the works that I do; nay, greater works than these shall he do; because for that end am I going to my father.
These things have I spoken unto you, while yet abiding with you.
these things I have spoken to you, that my joy in you may remain, and your joy may be full.
'These things I command you, that ye love one another;
but all these things will they do to you, because of my name, because they have not known Him who sent me;
'These things I have spoken to you, that ye may not be stumbled,
and these things they will do to you, because they did not know the Father, nor me.
But these things I have spoken to you, that when the hour may come, ye may remember them, that I said them to you, and these things to you from the beginning I did not say, because I was with you;
But now I am going away to Him that sent me, and yet none of you asketh me, Whither art thou going? but because I have said these things to you,
but because these things I have said to you, the sorrow hath filled your heart.
Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he shall guide you into all the truth: for he shall not speak from himself; but what things soever he shall hear, these'shall he speak: and he shall declare unto you the things that are to come.
Jesus could see that they wanted to ask him about these things, so he said to them, "Are you asking each other about this -- that I said, 'In a little while you will not see me; again after a little while, you will see me'?
'These things in similitudes I have spoken to you, but there cometh an hour when no more in similitudes will I speak to you, but freely of the Father, will tell you.
these things I have spoken to you, that in me ye may have peace, in the world ye shall have tribulation, but take courage -- I have overcome the world.'
These things spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to the heaven, and said -- 'Father, the hour hath come, glorify Thy Son, that Thy Son also may glorify Thee,
I have made your name known to these men whom you gave me from the world. They were yours, and you gave them to me, and they have kept your word.
I pray for these: I pray not for the world; but for those whom thou hast given me, because they are thine:
And everything I have belongs to you, and what you have belongs to me; and I am honored through these men.
and no more am I in the world, and these are in the world, and I come unto Thee. Holy Father, keep them in Thy name, whom Thou hast given to me, that they may be one as we;
'And now unto Thee I come, and these things I speak in the world, that they may have my joy fulfilled in themselves;
'And not in regard to these alone do I ask, but also in regard to those who shall be believing, through their word, in me;
that all may be one; as thou, Father, in me, and I in thee, that these also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
Father, it is my desire that these whom you have given to me may be by my side where I am, so that they may see my glory which you have given to me, because you had love for me before the world came into being.
'Righteous Father, also the world did not know Thee, and I knew Thee, and these have known that Thou didst send me,
These things having said, Jesus went forth with his disciples beyond the brook of Kedron, where was a garden, into which he entered, himself and his disciples,
They answered him, Jesus the Nazarean. Jesus saith unto them, I am he. Then stood also Judas, who betrayed him, with these men.
Jesus answered, 'I said to you that I am he; if, then, me ye seek, suffer these to go away;'
