For some of them practice going into people's houses and capturing weak and silly women who are overwhelmed with the weight of their sins, who are easily led about by all sorts of evil impulses,

let your message be wholesome and unobjectionable, so that our opponent may be put to shame at having nothing evil to say about us.
not stealing [things, regardless of value], but proving themselves trustworthy, so that in every respect they will adorn and do credit to the teaching of God our Savior.
who [willingly] gave Himself [to be crucified] on our behalf to redeem us and purchase our freedom from all wickedness, and to purify for Himself a chosen and very special people to be His own possession, who are enthusiastic for doing what is good.
It is a message to be trusted, and I want you to be emphatic about these things, so that those who believe in God may be careful to take the lead in doing good. These things are right and render service to mankind.

is forever and ever,
and the scepter of Your kingdom
is a scepter of justice.
And like a robe You will roll them up;
Like a garment they will be changed.

And Your years will never end.”
But which one of the angels did God ever say [this] about [Psa. 110:1], "You should sit at my right side until I put your enemies [in full subjection] beneath your feet"?
Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth for service in behalf of those who are about to inherit salvation?
For he did not subject the coming world to heavenly agents, about which we speak.
But someone has testified somewhere [Psa. 8:4-6], "What is man, that you [i.e., God] should remember him? Or the son of man [i.e., mankind], that you should care about him?
Therefore, holy brothers [and sisters], who have been called [by God] to share in heaven, think about Jesus, the Apostle and Head Priest, whom we have confessed [as Savior].
And Moses indeed was faithful in all his house as a servant, bearing testimony to a witness about to be spoken;
For we [Christians] have had the good news [about resting with God] preached to us, just as the Israelites [had good news proclaimed to them. See 1:16-19]. But the message they heard did not benefit them, because it was not coupled with faith by those who heard it.
For he spoke somewhere about the seventh this way, And God rested during the seventh day from all his works,
Therefore, since the promise remains for some to enter His rest, and those who formerly had the good news preached to them failed to [grasp it and did not] enter because of [their unbelief evidenced by] disobedience,
For if Joshua had given them rest, he would not have spoken about another day after these things.
being able to sympathize with the ignorant and erring, since himself is also compassed about with infirmity;
About whom, much subject matter from us is also difficult to explain, since ye have become sluggish in hearing.
And though by this time it would be right for you to be teachers, you still have need of someone to give you teaching about the first simple rules of God's revelation; you have become like babies who have need of milk, and not of solid food.
Now everyone who lives on milk is inexperienced with the message about righteousness, because he is an infant.

And tasted of the good word of God, and powers of the life about to be,
But if it produces thorns and thistles, it is worthless and about to be cursed, and will be burned at the end.
But we are persuaded better things about you, beloved, and things that have salvation, even though we speak this way.
And here indeed, men who die receive tithes, but there, he who is testified about that he lives.
For the one about whom these [things] are spoken belongs to another tribe from which no one has officiated at the altar.

(for there was nothing final about the Law), and a better hope begins to dawn, through which we may approach God.
For the law appoints imperfect men as high priests, but the assertion about the taking of an oath, which was spoken after the time of the law, appoints a Son who is perfectly qualified to be High Priest forever.
Now a summation about the things being spoken is, we have such a high priest who was seated at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens,
He is a minister in the sanctuary, [serving about holy things] in the true tabernacle, which was set up by the Lord and not by man [Note: This sanctuary/tabernacle represents either heaven or the church].
Now were he on earth, he would not even be a priest, since there are here those who present the gifts according to the Law??5 those priests who serve a mere outline and shadow of the heavenly reality, just as Moses was divinely instructed when he was about to build the Tabernacle. "See", he says, "that you make everything on the pattern showed you on the mountain."
and yet they officiate in a sanctuary that is a mere copy and shadow of the heavenly one, as Moses, when he was about to make the tent of worship, was warned, for, said He, "See to it that you make it all just like the pattern shown you on the mountain."
By saying, a new covenant, He has declared that the first is old. And what is old and aging is about to disappear.
having a golden altar of incense, and the ark of the covenant overlaid round about with gold, wherein was a golden pot holding the manna, and Aaron's rod that budded, and the tables of the covenant;
And above it were cherubim of glory overshadowing the place of forgiveness, about which things it is not now to speak in detail.
And Christ being present, a chief priest of good things about to be, by a greater and more perfect tent, not made with hands, that is; not of this creation;

Now faith is the foundation of our hopes of happiness, and the persuasion we have about things not evident to our senses.
