Whatsoever Jehovah pleased, he hath done in the heavens and on the earth, in the seas and all deeps;
Who hath remembered us in our low estate, for his loving-kindness endureth for ever;
And hath delivered us from our oppressors, for his loving-kindness endureth for ever:
Do not I hate them, O Jehovah, that hate thee? and do not I loathe them that rise up against thee?
I hate them with perfect hatred; I account them mine enemies.
Look on the right hand and see; there is no man that knoweth me: refuge hath failed me; no man careth for my soul.
For the enemy persecuteth my soul: he hath crushed my life down to the earth; he hath made me to dwell in dark places, as those that have been long dead.
Blessed is he who hath the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in Jehovah his God,
For he hath strengthened the bars of thy gates; he hath blessed thy children within thee;
He hath not dealt thus with any nation; and as for his judgments, they have not known them. Hallelujah!
And he hath lifted up the horn of his people, the praise of all his saints, even of the children of Israel, a people near unto him. Hallelujah!
Let everything that hath breath praise Jah. Hallelujah!
For in vain the net is spread in the sight of anything which hath wings.

These six things doth Jehovah hate, yea, seven are an abomination unto him:

A man hath joy by the answer of his mouth; and a word in its season, how good is it!
Jehovah hath wrought everything on his own account, yea, even the wicked for the day of evil.
Wisdom is a fountain of life for him that hath it; but the instruction of fools is folly.
A reproof entereth more deeply into him that hath understanding than a hundred stripes into a fool.
To what purpose is there a price in the hand of a fool to get wisdom, seeing he hath no sense?
He that hath a perverse heart findeth no good; and he that shifteth about with his tongue falleth into evil.
He that begetteth a fool doeth it to his sorrow, and the father of a vile man hath no joy.
Wisdom is before him that hath understanding; but the eyes of a fool are in the ends of the earth.
He that hath knowledge spareth his words; and a man of understanding is of a cool spirit.
A fool hath no delight in understanding, but only that his heart may reveal itself.
Whoso hath found a wife hath found a good thing, and hath obtained favour from Jehovah.

That which is was long ago, and that which is to be hath already been; and God bringeth back again that which is past.
For what befalleth the children of men befalleth beasts; even one thing befalleth them: as the one dieth, so dieth the other, and they have all one breath; and man hath no pre-eminence above the beast: for all is vanity.
