Even so would he have allured thee out of the jaws of distress into a broad place, where there is no straitness; and the supply of thy table would be full of fatness.
By the breath of God ice is given; and the breadth of the waters is straitened.

The proud have forged falsehood against me: I will observe thy precepts with my whole heart.
Let the proud be ashamed; for they have acted perversely towards me with falsehood: as for me, I meditate in thy precepts.
The proud have digged pits for me, which is not according to thy law.
I have seen an end of all perfection: thy commandment is exceeding broad.
Our soul is exceedingly filled with the scorning of those that are at ease, with the contempt of the proud.
Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers: the snare is broken, and we have escaped.
