And Jehovah will pass through to smite the Egyptians; and when he sees the blood on the lintel, and on the two door-posts, Jehovah will pass over the door, and will not suffer the destroyer to come into your houses to smite you.

As a sweet savour will I accept you, when I bring you out from the peoples, and gather you out of the countries wherein ye have been scattered; and I will be hallowed in you in the sight of the nations.

Of this man's seed according to promise has God brought to Israel a Saviour, Jesus;

namely, whether Christ should suffer; whether he first, through resurrection of the dead, should announce light both to the people and to the nations.
