So that there was not a man left in Ai, or in Bethel, that went not out after Israel. And they left the city open and followed after Israel.

When Joshua was waxen old, and stricken in years, the LORD said unto him, "Thou art old and stricken in years, and there remaineth yet exceeding much land to be possessed.

And the LORD was with Judah that he conquered the mountains, but they could not drive out the inhabiters of the valleys, because they had chariots of iron.

and the house of Joseph searched out Bethel which before time was called Luz.

But as soon as Israel was waxed mighty, they put the Cananites to tribute: but expelled them not.

And the coasts of the Amorites was from the going up to Akrabbim, and from the rock upward.

And Joshua the son of Nun the servant of the LORD died when he was a hundred and ten years old:
