'Leave' in the Bible
Leave the construction of the house of God alone. Let the governor and elders of the Jews rebuild this house of God on its original site.
So do not give your daughters to their sons in marriage or take their daughters for your sons. Never seek their peace or prosperity, so that you will be strong, eat the good things of the land, and leave it as an inheritance to your sons forever.”
So I sent messengers to them, saying, “I am doing a great work and cannot come down. Why should the work cease while I leave it and go down to you?”
When the surrounding peoples bring merchandise or any kind of grain to sell on the Sabbath day, we will not buy from them on the Sabbath or a holy day. We will also leave the land uncultivated in the seventh year and will cancel every debt.
While all this was happening, I was not in Jerusalem, because I had returned to King Artaxerxes of Babylon in the thirty-second year of his reign. It was only later that I asked the king for a leave of absence
The king told Haman, “Hurry, and do just as you proposed. Take a garment and a horse for Mordecai the Jew, who is sitting at the King’s Gate. Do not leave out anything you have suggested.”
saying:Naked I came from my mother’s womb,and naked I will leave this life.The Lord gives, and the Lord takes away.Praise the name of Yahweh.
I give up! I will not live forever.Leave me alone, for my days are a breath.
Will You ever look away from me,or leave me alone long enough to swallow?

Yet they say to God: “Leave us alone!We don’t want to know Your ways.

Their offspring are healthy and grow up in the open field.They leave and do not return.
Can you depend on it because its strength is great?Would you leave it to do your hard work?
may an enemy pursue and overtake me;may he trample me to the groundand leave my honor in the dust.Selah
With Your hand, Lord, save me from men,from men of the worldwhose portion is in this life:You fill their bellies with what You have in store;their sons are satisfied,and they leave their surplus to their children.
Do not hide Your face from me;do not turn Your servant away in anger.You have been my helper;do not leave me or abandon me,God of my salvation.
the Lord will not leave himin the power of the wicked oneor allow him to be condemned when he is judged.

Your builders hurry;those who destroy and devastate you will leave you.

This is what the Lord says: Don’t deceive yourselves by saying, ‘The Chaldeans will leave us for good,’ for they will not leave.
Jeremiah started to leave Jerusalem to go to the land of Benjamin to claim his portion there among the people.

“Yet I will leave a remnant when you are scattered among the nations, for throughout the countries there will be some of you who will escape the sword.
I will hand you over to them, and they will level your mounds and tear down your elevated places. They will strip off your clothes, take your beautiful jewelry, and leave you stark naked.
They will treat you with hatred, take all you have worked for, and leave you stark naked, so that the shame of your debauchery will be exposed, both your indecency and promiscuity.
I will leave you in the desert,you and all the fish of your streams.You will fall on the open groundand will not be taken awayor gathered for burial.I have given youto the beasts of the earthand the birds of the sky as food.
When they came to the nations where they went, they profaned My holy name, because it was said about them, ‘These are the people of Yahweh, yet they had to leave His land in exile.’
They will know that I am Yahweh their God when I regather them to their own land after having exiled them among the nations. I will leave none of them behind.
Before they go out to the outer court, to the people, they must take off the clothes they have been ministering in, leave them in the holy chambers, and dress in other clothes so that they do not transmit holiness to the people through their clothes.
When the people enter, the prince will enter with them, and when they leave, he will leave.
But leave the stump with its roots in the ground,and with a band of iron and bronze around it,in the tender grass of the field.Let him be drenched with dew from the skyand share the plants of the earthwith the animals.

As for the command to leave the tree’s stump with its roots, your kingdom will be restored to you as soon as you acknowledge that Heaven rules.
He said, “Do you know why I’ve come to you? I must return at once to fight against the prince of Persia, and when I leave, the prince of Greece will come.
Ephraim has provoked bitter anger,so his Lord will leave his bloodguilt on himand repay him for his contempt. >
Who knows? He may turn and relentand leave a blessing behind Him,so you can offer grain and wineto the Lord your God.
Gather the people;sanctify the congregation;assemble the aged;gather the children,even those nursing at the breast.Let the groom leave his bedroom,and the bride her honeymoon chamber.
If thieves came to you,if marauders by night—how ravaged you would be!—wouldn’t they steal only what they wanted?If grape pickers came to you,wouldn’t they leave some grapes?
Get up and leave,for this is not your place of rest,because defilement brings destruction—a grievous destruction!
One who breaks open the waywill advance before them;they will break out, pass through the gate,and leave by it.Their King will pass through before them,the Lord as their leader.

What do you think? If a man has 100 sheep, and one of them goes astray, won’t he leave the 99 on the hillside and go and search for the stray?
and He also said:“For this reason a man will leavehis father and motherand be joined to his wife,and the two will become one flesh?
Then Jesus said, “Leave the children alone, and don’t try to keep them from coming to Me, because the kingdom of heaven is made up of people like this.”
Then Jesus told them, “Do not be afraid. Go and tell My brothers to leave for Galilee, and they will see Me there.”
Then He said to them, “Whenever you enter a house, stay there until you leave that place.
If any place does not welcome you and people refuse to listen to you, when you leave there, shake the dust off your feet as a testimony against them.”
For this reason a man will leavehis father and mother[and be joined to his wife],
Then Jesus said, “Leave her alone. Why are you bothering her? She has done a noble thing for Me.
and was a widow for 84 years. She did not leave the temple complex, serving God night and day with fasting and prayers.
“Leave us alone! What do You have to do with us, Jesus—Nazarene? Have You come to destroy us? I know who You are—the Holy One of God!”
Then all the people of the Gerasene region asked Him to leave them, because they were gripped by great fear. So getting into the boat, He returned.
If they do not welcome you, when you leave that town, shake off the dust from your feet as a testimony against them.”
“But he replied to him, ‘Sir, leave it this year also, until I dig around it and fertilize it.
“What man among you, who has 100 sheep and loses one of them, does not leave the 99 in the open field and go after the lost one until he finds it?
They will crush you and your children within you to the ground, and they will not leave one stone on another in you, because you did not recognize the time of your visitation.”
Then those in Judea must flee to the mountains! Those inside the city must leave it, and those who are in the country must not enter it,
The next day He decided to leave for Galilee. Jesus found Philip and told him, “Follow Me!”
so His brothers said to Him, “Leave here and go to Judea so Your disciples can see Your works that You are doing.
