For he must reign till He hath put all his enemies under his feet. The last enemy that is destroyed is death: for He hath put all things under his feet. But when He saith that all things are put under Him, it is plain that we are to except Him who put all things under Him. And when all things shall be subjected to Him, then shall the Son also himself be subject to Him, that put all things under Him, that God may be all in all.

how shall we escape, if we neglect so great a salvation? which began to be declared by the Lord, and was confirmed to us by them that heard Him;

how can ye escape the damnation of hell?

Why doth this man thus speak blasphemies? who can forgive sins but God?

Then desire having conceived bringeth forth sin, and sin when it is finished bringeth forth death.

but his lord answered and said to him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strewed;

And whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of man, it may be forgiven him; but unto him, that blasphemeth the holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven.

but whosoever blasphemeth against the holy Ghost never hath forgiveness, but is liable to eternal damnation:

If any one see his brother commit a sin which is not unto death, let him pray for him, and God will give him life, that is for them that do not sin unto death. There is a sin unto death: and for that I do not say that he should pray. All unrighteousness indeed is sin, and yet there is a sin not unto death.

Wherefore, I tell you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven to men; but the blasphemy against the holy Spirit shall not be forgiven them:

Who Himself bare our sins in his own body on the cross, that we being dead to sins, might live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye are healed.

So also do ye reckon yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

God forbid! how shall we, who are dead to sin, live any longer therein?

Was then that which is good made death unto me? God forbid! But sin, that it might appear sin, working death in me by that which is good: that sin might be shewn by the commandment to be exceeding sinful.

Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whoever thou art, that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest dost the same things.

If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no excuse for their sin.

Inasmuch as from the first creation of the world, the invisible things of Him, even his eternal power and Godhead, are, if attended to, clearly seen in his works:

For sin taking occasion by the commandment deceived me, and by it slew me.

For when we were in the flesh, the sinful passions while we were under the law operated in our bodies so as to bring forth fruit unto death.

But sin taking occasion by the commandment wrought in me all manner of concupiscence: for without the law sin was dead.

least there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one repast gave away his birthright. For ye know that, when he would afterwards have inherited the blessing, he was rejected: for he found no room for repentance, though he sought it earnestly even with tears.

And when He comes, He will convince the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgement:

Now the works of the flesh are manifest, such as, adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, enmities, strifes, emulations, animosities, contentions, divisions,

Give to her as she hath given to you, and repay her double according to her works: in the cup, which she hath mixed, mix for her double.

And that which fell among thorns, are those who when they have heard the word go away and are choked with the cares and riches, and pleasures of life, and bring no fruit to perfection.

Jesus answered them, Verily, verily I say unto you, whosoever maketh a practice of sin, is the servant of sin. Now the servant does not continue always in the family: but the Son abideth always.

What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid! Know ye not, that to whom ye present yourselves servants to obedience, his servants ye are whom ye obey? either of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness? But thanks be to God, that ye who were servants of sin, have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered to you: read more.
and being set free from sin, ye are become the servants of righteousness. I speak after the manner of men, because of the infirmity of your flesh: as ye have yielded your bodies servants to impurity and iniquity to work iniquity; so now present your bodies servants to righteousness, unto holiness. For when ye were servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness.

but if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have communion with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

For if, after they had escaped the pollutions of the world, through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled and vanquished by them, their last state is worse than the first;

then he goeth and taketh with him seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there; and so the last state of that man is worse than the first. And thus shall it be to this wicked generation.

However, the foundation of God standeth firm, having this inscription, The Lord knoweth them that are his; and, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

for if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die; but if by the Spirit ye mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.

Mortify therefore your members that are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, disorderly passion, evil concupiscence, and insatiable desire, which is indeed idolatry:

As David also describeth the blessedness of the man to whom: God imputeth righteousness without works, saying, "Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered:

The sins of some men are notorious, leading as it were to their condemnation; and some more artful they follow after.

Every one that committeth sin, transgresseth the law; for sin is the violation of the law.

how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself spotless to God, purify your conscience from dead works, that ye may serve the living God?

Wherefore omitting the discourse about the first principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us proceed to perfection: not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works,

Every one that committeth sin, transgresseth the law; for sin is the violation of the law.

For whosoever shall keep the whole law besides, but offend in one point, he is under the penalty of all: for He that said, Do not commit adultery, said also, Do not kill. Now if thou do not commit adultery, but committest murder, thou art a transgressor of the law.

but now I am no more the doer of it, but sin that dwelleth in me.

Wherefore by the works of the law no flesh shall be justified before Him: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

What shall we say then? is the law sin? God forbid! Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust to be sinful, if the law had not said, "Thou shalt not covet."

We know that whosoever is born of God, doth not practise sin: but keepeth himself from it, and the wicked one doth not touch him.

Whosoever is born of God doth not practise sin, because his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one."

I will rise and go to my father, and will say to him, Father, I have sinned against heaven and before thee,

And we indeed justly; for we receive the due rewards of our deeds, but this man hath done nothing amiss.

Jesus answered them, Verily, verily I say unto you, whosoever maketh a practice of sin, is the servant of sin.

And that servant, who knew his master's will, and did not prepare himself to do according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes;

Now when they heard this, they were pricked to the heart, and said unto Peter, and to the rest of the apostles, Brethren, what shall we do?

Then he called for lights, and sprang in, and being in a tremor fell down before Paul and Silas:

We know that whosoever is born of God, doth not practise sin: but keepeth himself from it, and the wicked one doth not touch him.

Behold then what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the children of God: though for this reason the world knoweth us not, because it knew not Him. Beloved, we are now the children of God, but it doth not yet appear what we shall be: we know however, that, when He shall appear, we shall be like Him; for we shall see Him as He is. And every one, that hath this hope in Him, purifieth himself, even as He is pure. read more.
Every one that committeth sin, transgresseth the law; for sin is the violation of the law. And ye know that He was manifested, to take away our sins: and in Him there is no sin. Whosoever abideth in Him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen Him, nor known Him.

The next day John seeth Jesus coming towards him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God that taketh away the sin of the world.

And ye know that He was manifested, to take away our sins: and in Him there is no sin.

he, that makes a practise of sin, is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. And for this the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.

Ye are of your father the devil, and are bent upon doing the lusts of your father: he was a murderer from the beginning, and continued not in the truth: for there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh like himself, for he is a liar, and the father of such.

Abstain from all appearance of evil.

A certain creditor had two debtors, the one owed him five hundred denaries, and the other fifty: and they not being able to pay him, he freely forgave them both: tell me therefore, which of them will love him most? And Simon answered, I suppose he to whom he forgave most. And Jesus said unto him, Thou hast rightly judged: read more.
and turning to the woman, He said to Simon, Dost thou see this woman? I came into thine house, and thou gavest me no water for my feet; but she has bathed my feet with her tears, and wiped them with the hairs of her head. Thou gavest me not the respect of a kiss; but this woman, ever since she came in, hath not ceased to kiss my feet. Thou didst not anoint my head with common oil, but she hath anointed even my feet with sweet ointment. Wherefore, I tell thee, her sins though many are forgiven, for she loved much: but he to whom little is forgiven, loveth but little.

And that servant, who knew his master's will, and did not prepare himself to do according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes; but he that knew it not, and did things deserving stripes, shall be beaten with few: for to whomsoever much is given, of him will much be required; and to whom men have committed much, of him they will demand the more.

What! know ye not that the unjust shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor the effeminate, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor rapacious persons, shall inherit the kingdom of God.

the sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law:

Flee from whoredom. Every other sin, that a man committeth, is without the body; but he, that committeth whoredom, sinneth against his own body.

And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to Him that sat upon the cloud, Put in thy sickle and reap; for the time to reap is come, for the harvest of the earth is ripe.

knowing this, that a law does not lie against a righteous person, but against the lawless and unruly, the impious and wicked, the unholy and profane, parricides, murderers, whoremongers, sodomites, kidnappers, liars, false-swearers, and if there be any thing else contrary to that sound doctrine,

Be not deceived, God is not to be mocked: for whatever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. He then, who soweth to his flesh, shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he, that soweth to the Spirit, shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

But when Herod's birth-day was kept, the daughter of Herodias danced before them, and pleased Herod, so that he promised her with an oath to give her whatever she would ask: and she, being before instructed by her mother, said, Give me here in a dish the head of John the baptist: read more.

For as many as are of the works of the law, are under the curse; for it is written, Cursed be every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law, to do them.

For as many as have sinned without the law shall also perish without the law; and as many as have sinned under the law shall be judged by the law; (for not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified:

And as they were not careful to acknowledge God, God gave them up to an undiscerning mind to do things that were not fit to be done: being filled with all injustice, lewdness, wickedness, covetousness, malignity; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, and every evil habit; whisperers, slanderers, haters of God, injurious, haughty, proud, inventers of mischief, undutiful to parents, void of understanding, read more.

Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that we might no longer be inslaved to sin: for he that is thus dead with Christ, is delivered from sin. Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him: knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more power over Him: for as He died, He died once for all on account of sin; but as He liveth, He liveth unto God. So also do ye reckon yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God in Christ Jesus our Lord. Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, to obey it in the lusts thereof. Neither yield your bodies as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but present yourselves to God as alive from the dead, and your bodies as instruments of righteousness to God. For sin shall have no power over you, inasmuch as ye are not under the law, but under grace.

Abide therefore in me, and I will abide in you: for as the branch cannot bear fruit of it self, unless it abide in the vine; so neither can ye, except ye abide in me. I am the vine, ye are the branches; he that abideth in me, and I in him, beareth much fruit: but without me ye can do nothing. If any one abide not in me, he is cast out as a useless branch and withereth: and they gather them up, and throw them into the fire, and they are burnt. If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask what ye will, and it shall be granted you. Herein is my father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; and so shall ye be my disciples. As the Father hath loved me, and I have loved you, continue in my love: and if ye keep my commandments ye will continue in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and continue in his love. These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy in you may continue, and that your joy may be full. This is my commandment, that ye love one another, as I have loved you. Greater love hath no one than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends: and ye are my friends, if ye do what I command you. I no longer stile you servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doth: but I have called you friends; for whatsoever I have heard from my Father, I have made known to you. Ye did not first choose me, but I chose you, and have appointed you to go forth, and bear fruit, and that your fruit should be lasting: that whatsoever ye ask the Father in my name, He may give it you. These commands I give you, that ye should love one another. If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me first. If ye were of the world, the world would love its own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you. Remember what I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you: if they have observed my word, they will also observe yours. But all these things will they do unto you, on my account, because they know not Him that sent me. If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no excuse for their sin.
